Welcome to Straight UP RC!
This channel is basically about Straight Up RC Content about tech support and tech questions, RC tricks, "How To" videos, RC Bashing/Crawling, and custom RC modifications and work. Also - if you have any requests feel free to comment on any video or send a message directly and I can see if I can manage to answer those questions or requests. Can even drop a video link so I can look at a video on a social media platform. And if you have questions about an RC model or parts problems feel free to share them as well.
I have done a lot of custom RC builds including some 3D designing and such. As well as some other general RC modifications and such. I plan to share those as well as share designing processes such as the process of 3D designing some of the things I plan on making in the future. Also will be doing general RC bashing and crawling videos from time to time. Sometimes with my 4 kids as well as my wife!

I have a 3D printer is your STL file in any of the forms ? I would like to print these out for my 64.
Unfortunately, no I have not released the STL file to anyone or put it on any platform at this time. Anyone else is welcome to design something and release or make available their own model - but I have not chosen to do so yet. The printed pieces are always available on eBay - the link is in the video - or thru direct sale on my Facebook or IG.

Got one this morning to commemorate me getting a physical DL. Now I have the before and after Skylines. Looks amazing next to my 65 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C.
i have one of these. Payed pretty much nothing for it. No controller, board was broken. I want a chassis to put the shell on but cannot find one that will fit.
Nice score! I have seen a few people score these for really good deals and some pay an arm and leg. And I understand your chassis dilemma 100%. With these - they are so big but narrow that nothing out there on the hobby grade RC side matches... Most likely a stretched XO-1 or maybe infraction/felony will do the trick - but I have personally not compared the wheelbase and over all chassis width to confirm nor deny that will work... but that is the only place I could think of starting, other than a complete custom build. Good luck!

So, the light kit used with these can be found here on Amazon. amzn.to/3IAaK1P It is the same LED set used on my own rigs and in the Redcat 59 install video. KEEP IN MIND - you need 2 sets for the install.

Sadly, he has rehomed all of the extra models he had. And it will indeed take a while to find them. I would personally be impressed to ever see one of these " IN BOX " ever again. I had seen the 10th scale versions in the past but never the 5th scale models. Very impressive RCs.

Hi! Are there any options available to use alternative parts to the this 2 in 1 combo for this model so I can bind with another remote?
So as far as I know of - no - there are no alternatives to these type 2n1 systems. When you have one of these systems - you need the EXACT remote and/or 2n1 ESC/receiver as a replacement - otherwise they will not communicate. Now, I might be wrong in the case of some brand 2n1 receivers that can link to a few different remotes - but I have never experienced this in a 2n1 system - yet.
Could an option be to get a separate receiver and ESC and adapt it to this truck? I can't find parts and don't want to lose the kit.
@@martin6131 That is absolutely an option on any 2n1 receiver system. You can simply adapt a separate receiver and transmitter unit along with a stand-alone ESC to take the place of the 2n1 system.
dam i remember seeing these at toys r us, they had this adn 1/5 corvettes and trucks, lol at the time I knew they were cheap, big hardly worth buying since the RC stuff was deff not hobby grade. but for the sheer size at 199.99 that was pretty expensive knowing what poeple were getting in retrun for "fun" lol but nowdays that dirt cheap if they were to sell these now knowing what i know lol ahh the good ol 90s. loved that era

I really wish RC companies would put a little effort into making licensed bodies. So many models from the "toy" grade side of manufacturers are still seen as highly sought after bodies for RC cars - even after 15 - 20 years later. This thing is amazing. And would absolutely be awesome on a hobby grade chassis.
yeah. maybe NIKKO has better machines because they produce big qties... i will continue to pay for custom made bodies for 1/5th bodies i can't find ( size than interests me is actually closer to 1/4th scale ) @@StraightUpRC
@@stephanez8036 I am a huge fan of BIG RC cars and trucks that is for sure. 2 of my favorite builds to date are massive 5th scale trucks I take to car shows. You can see them in some of my other videos. But I agree - bigger is better!
i started with the legendary clod buster and some tamiya buggies. but i love 1/5th stuff since 3 years now. so powerfull, realistic and easy to work on ! it's awesome that you promote Rc with shows !@@StraightUpRC
Can the remote be reset I don’t know what the stock settings should be like the EPA what should it be set up? Mine doesn’t really want to go in reverse. The reverse is real weak.
Good question - so, the remote can be "reset" to a certain degree. Any "setting" that can go from 0 to 100 needs to be set at 80-100. So, anything that goes from ZERO to 100 needs to be 80+. Then - any setting that can go from -100 to ZERO - +100 needs to be set at or around ZERO - in the middle. Try that and see if it helps.

Too bad they didnt bother replicating the body kit, and the rims are too big. Still cool. They did pretty good on some of the other fnf cars, specifically the eclipse, supra and hans rx7, but they also messed up the toretto rx7 bodykit.
They do indeed seem to have a few "misses" on some models more so than others. I was just impressed they made this model at all regardless of its flaws.
