Leona & Chris Pye (Fellowship Of The Fells)
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 25 ธ.ค. 2014
We are novice fell walkers, Leona has only been walking since September 2015 we are attempting the 214 Wainwrights. Each walk we do we have to complete in the school run, or if we are lucky we get a pick up which means we can walk for longer but still need to be back for 6pm. We have four children living with us in the house and each one of them has additional needs they are all different but complex and challenging. we walk also to ease our mind from stress and to unwind. Sometimes the children join us on a walk
Black Fell/Crag Vince's 642
sorry for the delay vince we did this walk last April.
A fantastic achievement from vince 3 rounds of Wainwright's.
we parked in a layby on the road to coniston before the junction to little langdale, we then took the path to Black crag and back same way.

Chris was joined by Vince from Seathwaite they decided to walk along the other side to go up the scramble to Taylor Force Gill to Styhead Tarn . It's a great route different than the usual steps. we then headed for napes needle which was more towards Wasdale. The climbers Traverse is a impressive walk along boudlers, drops and the scree from hell or scree on steroids. once on Great Gable we dec...

The fear is real looking at the path off Steeple over to Scoat Fell - well done Leona - fab video of a walk I have planned for the near future
The music...... i just can't.
Really enjoyed your video Keep em coming
Massive respect to you all. I stayed at Wasdale Head and climbed Scafell Pike two weeks ago but this looks another level!!
Stayed there overnight back in 1984. We were all in our late teens . We just laughed and joked throughout the night. Best time of my life. Countless shooting stars 🌠
Brilliant that m8 thanks for sharing it 👍🏻
For one awful moment I thought you were attempting the gully, which is a very long and tiring Hard severe climb.
Nice to get a look at the feared Clachaig Gully. I always wondered where people got into trouble. Maybe the scree section where you turned back, probably a good call!
Great hike out. Lovely views on the tops.
Loved this AND the soundtrack. We’re getting on a bit and got some health issues but I fancy doing Pillar when we go for our anniversary week in October, if the weather is ok. We did Skiddaw and cloud came down when we got to the top of Jenkins hill and just got thicker the further we went. Had to rely on the gps to follow the track to the summit and enjoyed views of all of 12 feet or so🤣🤣🤣 so almost a pointless exercise.
Brilliant video mate, views looked fantastic up there 👍
I am terrified of heights too not sure I could do this one. Would it be better to go up the way you did and back down the same way?
Nice video, I want to do pike of stickle myself, I think I will be ok getting up its just that sheer drop that scares the hell out of me when your at the top.
Still one of the best days i,ve had in the mountains, fantastic views , great day , great company , all came together to help poor jan in her hr of need near the end of the walk. 🥾👍
Hi, Lovely walk with the kids Chris and Leona. Is the Red Moss Car Park free please. I'm doing Clough Head tomorrow and wondering if I need to pay. Thanks Andy H 😉
Y
Good visuals, strange choice of music.
Shame about the music and wind . I couldn't hear a word you said 🤣
Brilliant video and it’s a Wainwright walk I’ve got to do yet. Would you say it’s roughly 12 miles? Cheers, Matt
Big clap goes out to Caleb. Well done fella
I love your posts. It must be hard climbing with a selfie stick in one hand and a dog lead in the other. blasted up the nose in 45 minutes (many years ago) thought I was gonna have a coronary when I got to the top. There is also a Garmin e_tex vista c worth £400 up there somewhere as it fell off my belt
It was good to watch this. I'm taking some friends up here tomorrow and was a bit concerned about the route! But seeing it on video and not just on a map helps. Thank you!
Hey, just picking up on your videos. Can I ask if you feel the car is safe there overnight? Thank you 😊
Sorry but the music spoils it, too loud and not needed, i turned the volume off, just my opinion. Good video otherwise
I'm watching this at work on my laptop which admittedly has crap speakers but I honestly can't hear a thing you're saying with the background music. The content looks good but I would like to be able to hear what you're saying.
Hi can you help me can you tell me what the best app is for maps
Hello Leona & Chris Pye! Thank you for showing me a nice video! I really enjoyed it! It's a very interesting video! Thank you for sharing! Have a nice day!
What is campsite called? Please, looks lovely
Hi can't remember the exact name but it's on the main road in burrowdale same road takes you to honister pass. The campsite is just off it after Rosthwaite and turning for stonethwaite if that helps. It's a lovely quiet site and cheap the farm is behind it as well 😀
@@leonachrispye1591 looks like Chapel House farm .
Hooked on your videos, great for seeing what's coming!
Thanks for this. Planning on walking from where you parked in March. How long did it take you to do and did you do there and back or a circular walk? Just subbed to you
Hi we just walked there and back, I think it took around 4 hours can't mind exact time. It's a lovely walk hope you enjoy it thanks for sub take care and ATB
Thanks for sharing, the music is awesome, top quality!
Need to get up there again and get a video done for my channel. First heard a wood pecker here!
Well done Vince a great achievement and well done Leona for making your video a lovely memento
Nice one....quite an achievement
642 wow .....some going ..epic💪👍
Totally enjoyed that you guys enjoyed that fell walk !🙏🏼 thanks for reminding us how good it is to just get out and walk 🙏🏼super ! Subbed best wishes Simon 😊👍liked the music by the way 😊
Nice landscape!
I'm so pleased I found your video of this route. I've been trying to research for the finer weather, and find more accessible routes for these types of walks. Thank you for sharing 😊🙏
Oh great glad you found the video it's a lovely route lots to see along the way and places to sit at. Enjoy the walk 😊 thanks for commenting and ATB Leona and Chris
love these two
I like watching your videos, the mousic could do with toning down to be able to hear what you are saying and find it off putting
Did this route a few weeks ago.... a real lung-buster and relentless, especially on the loose scree high up, but amazing. Wouldn't recommend coming down the same route though which we did, as it's very hard to keep your footing coming down. Thanks for sharing, we had baking weather. Not sure if that was a good or bad thing!
Done this walk today, brilliant. As good as the video
Why didn't you use your trekking poles no good in your back pack
Great video guys, really helpful. I’ve recently tried and failed to tick Yewbarrow off the AW list after having a ‘code brown’ moment half way up Stirrup Crag. From Dore Head I could see that path which you guys descended but instead I chose to play it safe and head down the bottom of valley back to the road. On my next attempt I intend to try this route you guys did👍🏻
Going to do Red Screes soon... was good to see this walk.
walked up there for the first time in 7-8 yrs last sunday, some trepidation as I had a heart bypass5 yrs ago. Loved it, unbelievaby gorgeous views made the muscle pain bearable. Well done you!
Incredible walk:-). I’m thinking of doing this in the summer. Do you just take the same route back to Honister from Hindscarth? Ie it’s not a circular? Matt
I was up there last month nice video apart from the poor music choice.
Ha ha good job we all have different likes and dislikes 😁
Did leona not do this walk due to exposure. Thinking of doing it this year but not keen on exposure myself.
I've done this twice once I had a wobble and 2nd time I loved it. Its an amazing walk up and ridge. The ridge is really wide so not too much exposure I struggled more with the way up whin Ben as its steep. Enjoy your walk thanks for watching and commenting ATB leona and Chris
Many thanks. Like you had a wobble on Steeple so always watch your reaction for potetial gut churning moments.
just found your channel and subbed. i'll watch some more of your vid's when i'm off work tomorrow
Hey thanks for commenting and watching, thanks for the sub ATB Leona
