"Werewolf P**sy" (1949)
The Tablespoons were a group of 5 brothers: Boris, Clyde, Eddy, Wesley and Nick Talbot. They first signed to Arty Records in 1946, as the label's first white act. They went on to record smash hit singles like "Werewolf P**sy", "Make Me a Sandwich", and the 1955 number 1 single "Looks Like She's Our Wife, Now".
"The story of Werewolf P**sy is actually a real story. It was 1945 when I had met this pretty lass. Following year on Halloween night, I finally got to get a taste of the box, but the sight I seen was horrific. So, we turned the memory into a masterpiece." - Eddy Talbot on the inspiration behind "Werewolf P**sy".
The group disbanded in 1999 after the oldest brother, Boris, passed away after eating a slice of month-old cheesecake.

Earl "SuperFro" Rogers was a trailblazer in his time, paving the way for all soul and R&B musicians after him. Signing to Arty Records in the fall of 1960 and retiring in 2009, his career has garnered him 5 Grammy awards, an Oscar award for his role in "Fritz the Cat", and an MTV Video Vanguard award, as well as a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. However, "SuperFro" believes he wouldn't ...

We would add a description, but the details of how this song came to be are too raunchy to comply with site guidelines. However, the song and art speaks for itself. Thanks for watching!

Charting at an impressive number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1970, "Big" Buster Nuttinson and the Slimy Hands Band's runaway hit single "How Can I Bust (If There's No Trust?)" is a classic and tragic tale about love and deception. Nuttinson and his iconic band first formed in 1958, thanks to rock-n-roll legend, trailblazer and close friend Buddy Holly introducing Nuttinson to drummer Billy Th...

Revel in your impulses with the 1958 smash hit "Bustin'" from 5-time Grammy award-winning, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Gerald Beauchamp. Surprisingly, Beauchamp was never interviewed about this song. Every time he was asked about it, he would ask to go to the bathroom and the slightest sound of thumping could be heard, followed by Beauchamp promptly leaving the interview and saying "Gre...

"The year I met my wife Loretta, she suggested we go to her family's house for Thanksgiving dinner and I went along with it. Her mom and brothers were nice, but her dad was a big ol' stick in the mud, so I gave him some of MY mud." - Big Willy Biggums during his final interview, 2001. Hi. We're Arty Records. "Yeah, we were coming off our global tour and our manager went to Rio with us that June. We were at rehearsal when he took a breather and apparently a woman offered him a "5 dolla offer" and he obliged. He would be with her on and off for about a month. He constantly booked solo flights to Rio just for her. Then all of a sudden, once tour wrapped and we headed back to Atlanta, he started compla...

"I was dating this girl back in '56. Things were goin' swell, and eventually, I got to have a "taste of the box", if you catch my drift. When I went downtown, it was the most rancid and repugnant smell I had ever smelt in my then-24 years of life. I had to spray air freshener with each thrust. Oh, it was awful. Every time someone opens a bottle of vinegar or blue cheese, it reminds me of that n...

"This song is about an actual experience of mine. I worked as a furniture salesman before getting signed to Arty back in '59. This hefty lady came into the store complaining about a chair she bought that she knew full well was too small for her when she bought it. So, I gave her a piece of my mind. But to be honest? Looking at her size, she probably wanted a full bite. Next question." - Chester...

"I remember it like it was yesterday. Gary, Rick, Bo and I were all leaving the theater after seeing some flick that had just gotten to theaters and we were all so excited going into it, only to have our bubble burst. Gary said, and I quote: "We coulda paid $5 downtown for a dame to show us a good time instead of watch that garbage!" and the idea for "We Paid $5 For This?" came to be. After we ...

"I remember being in the studio, and the label was hounding me for a hit single or else I'd be dropped before the week was over.
