That touches my BLUE GRASS HEART DEEPLY.LOVE IT.❤😊
Looks like grandchild of Sarangi (instrument of 100 colours).
Very well done!
Oh my word!! This is amazing!! Will never forget my Warcraft YEARS! Thank You!!
Beautiful! I just learned about this instrument today, and wanted to hear some Swedish tunes on it, as it speaks to my Swede ancestry :D
Sing the Cat Stevens song, Lisa, Lisa over the intro. Credibly beautiful instrument.
Sounds like the most magnificent soundtrack from 'The Witcher' 💗
I've never been to Sweden, but this really resonates with me. It makes me feel nostalgic.
Swedish folk main emotion is the melancholic sweetness of inevitable loss.
Thank you for letting me know!
Excellent!!!
Profoundly beautiful.
I love this!
Truly a piece of art, wish you keep making these videos. Greetings from Türkiye.
Great sounding instrument with an expert musician.
Una maravilla,saludos desde Argentina 🇦🇷
Wow, very impressive playing and production! Hats off! I love the Nykelharp, first time I’ve seen one!

I have never heard one of these before and have to say this music is outstanding and moves me, I can feel my Irish coming out in this!
Hermoso!!!, Es muy lindo y muy bueno, y ...una música , celestial☺️☺️☺️👏👏👏👏
this thing has more strings than my ex-wives alimony story.
This is an amazing song, and it fits the instrument perfectly. The sound is distinct, but that adds to the beauty of the sound overall.

Simple AMAZING Performance..! Watching from São Paulo, Brazil..!

This is so beautiful! I'm writing a quasi-medieval novel, and this is just the music I'd want if my novel where ever to become a movie. I'll be listening to it while writing!
So this is an instrument that has three courses per tonal string? Sounds beautiful! Wondering if what were his hearing has been filtered through some kind of PA system or what have you? Or does the instrument have an onboard amplifier?
John and subscribers . . .I've searched high and low but can find no reference to the origin of the word 'Palidorian' . . . Any ideas ?
Hmmm.....could be a nifty made up word. Are you familiar with Paldin? The Holy knights of Charlemagne's court and many fantasy mythos? Or perhaps it linked the germanic Palatines, which in my opinion, are link to one another. Both from Germanic lineages.
Well I wish the answer was more exotic but I since composed the tune in a place call the Palisades and it is Dorian minor, the name Palidorian had a nice ring to it 😁
Wonderful ❤
Very nice
More, please.
I love this song so so much! It's a great inspiration for me, since I bought my very first Nyckelharpa recently. Do you by any chance have notes to share? Or did you play it all by heart (as gifted as you are playing all those instruments)? I'm looking forward to playing this song one day myself, but I'm not good enough to play it without notes. I hope, you are going to upload many more videos involving Nyckelharpor! :)
Thanks, I created it in sections, starting with the B section (chorus), then eventually the A section (first melody), then lastly the bridge section... Sometimes playing ideas on a looping pedal, then improvising and recording the improvisations on the looper. I would also try out different ideas on the piano and sketch them out like the canonic section in the bridge, then record layers in the studio until it started to come together. I'll post a lead sheet that has the main melody and chords. See if this lead sheet link works: www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/p8ey9swtlbnkwkz9osc0m/PALIDORIAN-lead-sheet.pdf?rlkey=4gnga32rmm3koq7zktkg60jpv&dl=0
@@jcodamusic3092 Thank you SO much! I simply love this tune, it's amazing and inspiring. Of course, I still need a lot of practise, but I am looking forward to playing your tune <3
Can anyone post the sheet music? Or at least the Nyk transcription?
Yes, please! Any chance of getting/finding the notation/sheet music John? Would love to play along with my fiddle! 😊
Ok see if this link works. Its more of a lead sheet with the main melody and chords. Enjoy: www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/p8ey9swtlbnkwkz9osc0m/PALIDORIAN-lead-sheet.pdf?rlkey=4gnga32rmm3koq7zktkg60jpv&dl=0
