If after the round of 16 you have a good draft for the quarters you will use it for the semi-final, but if the squad is not optimal for the quarters(a big team is eliminated and the odds change), I would suggest the wildcard before the quarters. If you still have a chip, don't save any for sure. It is a one week performance basically. If you do not, it depends on who you already own and might bring. For example if you do not select lets say KDB and the guy you are willing to transfer is 7.0, you will need the money to move up, but honestly with so many free transfers you will be able to spend it. To conclude build the team you like no matter the budget. If I didn't have a chip, I would be doing that 100%
