Grew up watching early Triple Crown trains with a single high hood on the point and by time I left Danville wide cab dash 9s.

This is before the Bellwood, Illinois Metra station was rebuilt and renovated to include one track to the north of the waiting shelter and a new track leading from the Indiana Harbor Belt to the east. A pedestrian tunnel was also built beneath the station as part of the upgrade to enable commuters to seamlessly travel from one platform to another without waiting for freight trains to resume motion. Freight train parkings on the main lines (occurrences in which freight trains remain still for protracted periods of time for various reasons e.g. obtain clearance to proceed down the track, expiration of track authority, or waiting for a certain number of trains to pass) are common on the Union Pacific West Line between River Forest, Illinois and Chicago, Illinois and 25th Avenue in Bellwood, Illinois and Wolf Road in Berkeley, Illinois. They are also common on the Indiana Harbor Belt. Freight trains are parked less frequently on the main tracks of the Milwaukee District West Line east of Narragansett Avenue in Chicago's city limits.
