@@blue17eyesSharon never messes up their performances. She sounds exactly like on the record. And within temptation songs are hard. But Sharon never fails to perform perfectly. It’s just Simone is lazy when it comes to live performances

@@blue17eyes this song is ok for live) Listen please to an interview of Simone with The Charismatic Voice. She told about her singing lessons nowadays. I am vocal coach since 2009. It's hard for her, because she is mezzo-soprano and nowadays I see, that she finally feel it. Half of songs she tried to sing a-la high soprano. 22 years of practicing gives her finally a progress and understanding her voice))

@@blue17eyes I am teaching opera, pop, grunts, national styles of singing. I also work as lead singer at Opera for 3 years. So I know what I am saying about " not hiting the notes". As I said, I am upset a little bit and wrote, why she can't hit notes - because of tiring and it's second huge show. I am singing easily Queen of the Night by Mozart every day, some good grunts helps to make your lungs chill)

@@YaroMiraWitch here she sings this song not quite in her usual setting, in an interpretation with an orchestra, and she has not sung this song with it before, and with an orchestra it is difficult for them to organize many rehearsals, I think, so if she missed a note somewhere - this is absolutely normal, there is no autotune and sound processing, she is a human, not a robot. Moreover, she does not sing this song at every concert and it is difficult to perform, but this has already been said. In addition, this is a video recording from the hall with not the best sound, and this also affects the perception of the vocals 😉😊

I have to agree the song loses a lot without the entrance of the band and the solo but it was still nice to hear it live with orchestra

As a musician you will always feel the urge to keep things new and fresh, so this could simply be a choice to do just that. I mean, from a band’s perspective, what’s the point of repeating something you’ve already recorded beautifully? But it could also be done like this for practical reasons. As for us, the listeners, the audience, the fans… we’re with many. We all have our favourite songs and we all know a couple of songs that mean less to each of us personally. So I might be disappointed when they didn’t include my favourite song and you might be glad they chose a set of songs you preferred. Some fans will only be really happy when they play some sort of a best of Epica set, while others would prefer to see them emphasising their newest material. Point is… as a band, even when you’re performing almost solely for the most loyal fans out there, no matter what you do, you can never equally please every individual in the crowd. So… don’t be upset. You witnessed something that may turn out to become one of the most important, memorable and successful performances they ever did. I can only wish I was there. 🥹🧡

@@mariodriessen9740 when the song "universal death squad" started I said "oh my god yes yes" but it turned out to be just a part of a medley 😆 yes, I understand that they have a big discography and they can't play all of our favorite songs, and I'm still absolutely delighted with these two concerts, believe me. And yes, I love interpretations, for example, the way they played "beyond the matrix" - it's just amazing. But still, I think that it's better to experiment with those songs that are constantly performed from concert to concert and people hear them constantly and "beyond the matrix" is exactly such a song. But they perform "tides of time" very rarely and the guitar solo is the highlight of the whole song, especially the moment when Simone's belting turns into a solo - the best moment. And for me, of course, it would have sounded better if they hadn't thrown the solo out of the song, but in any case, this is a gorgeous performance and a bombastic concert and they can't always and in everything adapt to all fans.

I was there as well on both shows. First GC, second regular. Have another opinion on show and childrens choir but that is personal preference, personally I dont need that stuff and that guy in between songs and on stage in the end. Still great quality and a steal for the tickets, well done Epica and all thise involved!
