This movie was horrendous. The metaphorical message was clear from the beginning. I get it. I got it. I was that b level sloppy gore with no meaning. I’m disappointed.

This movie was garbage, I hated it.. the message was campy they told a message, but this is supposed to be a movie, not a sermon.. and if you think that the only exec and shareholders are white men, you're not smart. Understand that there are just as many women involved in presenting talent. The way they depicted every man (that wasn't useful to her) in the story is unrealistic. This shit was so corny and cheesy they really didnt try at all. The blood was unrealistic the main characters' response was unrealistic. Why didnt she stop once she realized she wasnt experiencing youth directly? Mad corny, mad plot convenient.

Are there anymore bingeworthy shows like this?

That the byline for the movie is "look up" gets me in the feels even more and makes me really curious and excited to see this. ✨🌠

I love your opinion. I wasn’t really looking forward to seeing the live action version because of how similar they looked but also why are they creating a movie we never asked for. But then again I calm myself down and thought it’s the business of entertainment. But one thing I guess I am looking forward to is seeing where the hatred for mufasa came from. Dope review.

Alex Garland is a great Director, an excellent writer and he loves (as do I) journeys to the heart of darkness stories, from the summary we got it seems like this will be no different. The poem recited here is called boots and it generally references the madness of endless forced marches across South Africa, these infantryman who were made to do it, likely never set foot there before, no idea of the dangers, no idea how fucking massive africa actually is (maps lie) and are told to just move forward, and because theres a war on (the 2nd boer war) they can't just quit when it becomes maddening. Theres a very anti-war/colonial theme running through it I find almost a "why the fuck am i here" vibe. Speaking of... Heart of Darkness (the book) itself is a journey down a river in Africa witnessing aspects of the slave trade at the time, only getting worse as they go. In this it seems that mainland UK is now that unknown territory, no idea what the dangers are, no idea what has survived and what hasn't and it will likely get worse as it goes and they can't quit, because their work is likely critical to survival. Theres so many themes running through this already and we have like... 2 minutes to work with haha. I feel this is what happens when Garland gets to focus on the writing, and with Frankie whos got such a strong visual style I think we're in for a horrifying treat.
