No, when the engine is cold you can hear the Vanos helical gears rattling, and the oil is very thick 10w60 should not REV this engine at all until the RPM are well below the 1000 and have mellowed out and the oil temp increases to Normal operating temperature, I never rev mine past 3000 rpm until the engine is at least 200 degrees the oil needs to circulate or you will destroy the rod bearings much faster because of the very tight clearances and the stock rod bearings do not have weep holes in them nor do they have the upgraded metal and coatings
