sometimes the best place to go really just local vendors that has no expectation for themselves catering to tourist's.
we 100% agree! we spend a lot of time researching for local spots before we travel. sometimes it's very difficult to find them because you need to cut through tons of tourist spots first lol
If you visit Vietnam again, 100% recommend Hue. I can recommend my friend who is a local restaurant owner and he can take you to all the local places there, and avoid tourist traps. His own place is also really good and has been opened for 30 years.
YES! Elly did mention yesterday that we need to visit Hue next time because she loves bun bo hue! Is bun bo hue from Hue?
@MarkandElly_eats yes sir, it is the original home of bun bo hue, and probably the best, too. Aside from bun bo, Hue has so many other good foods to offer. Me and my wife visited Hue last May, and thanks to the local friend mentioned above, we experienced such great food that we planned to visit Hue again next year just to eat more local food.
