Yeah, the decks fall off due to not having Izasou, but it gains some power back when the new festival comes due to the dual nation DE/DS g2 that can call stuff from soul.

Hello, so terribly sorry for the late reply. Seems like I never got a notification... I know this is late but there's still merit to what I'm about to say so thanks for your understanding! I have had lots of success at my locals, winning 5 times out of 6 during that format. The deck is inherently strong also which helps haha. The deck you linked is solid. The only gripe I have with it is the grade 2 common, since it makes it a bit awkward to use. You usually don't want it on board after you've used it once since it doesn't hit super good numbers going second (if they are at g3) which means you sometimes force yourself to intercept with it or overcall to play better stuff. However, since both Forktail and Shenryi still go for some amount whether you're in NA or EU, it's a fine choice as a budget option. My tip would be to get Shenryi asap next time you buy something for the deck if you can since it will probably be a mainstay with how decks tend to self-retire a lot. I uploaded a newer version of this which also includes Esperaridea to bring a bit more value to the deck in the current format, but I am not super sold on it, even though I think 2 are needed for the deck to be "optimal". The deck doesn't change much with DZ01 so please watch that video too if you have time! :)

Thank you so much for the nice feedback, much appreciated 🙏 I have made changes, but I haven't had the time to playtest properly. I feel like the deck building has gotten more interesting for a few reasons. Will definitely upload a new version when I feel ready.
