I bought my vtx1800 off the showroom floor in 02 and love it. It has carried me over the 11 western states. I like that black cover that covers the speed od. on your tank. I hope you enjoy your bike as much as I still enjoy mine.

Why do you wipe off the oil after soaking? Other videos I have seen people say not to wipe off the excess oil. Does it really make much of a difference wiping it off or not?

I purchased a 2006 vtx 1800f3 last yr. Not even a month of owning it, I took a low side riding too hard in the twisties. It was in prestin condition until I messed up. All the damage was on the left side. Long story short, I got to ride it this past weekend, Saturday. New front axle, handlebars, f/ls/rotor, side cover, front fender did the best I could to get it presentable and LS driver footpeg and bracket got from another model. The tank is still damaged, but I can still ride it. Will be working on the tank soon. Love the bike. The torque is lovely. Definitely a keeper.

Did you have to change anything else when changing the pipes

I’m having clutch problems and need help! My Barnett clutch has about 1,200 miles on it and it is turning my oil grey slowly and at about 250 miles I have to change it I can’t let it go anymore they say the steels don’t matter which way they go as long as they are facing the same way and I think I got it right but I don’t think it would matter even if the steels faced different ways the frictions still ride on the flat surface and it makes no sense please help

I made a new rear bushing, lengthened it, between the gearbox and the wheel, since the gearbox bearing was clamped and the load was on it,the wheel bearings were hanging in the air did not work at all,this is for your information if you encounter someone with such a problem

Very nice. I bought my first bike last year. It’s a 2003 VTX1800R. The previous owner replaced the Rear Fender with one from a VTX C. It has "Hard Krome 3 Inch Big Straights." They were longer that the R type fender. Now they 6 inches longer than my rear wheel. At first I wanted to change it, but I’m starting to like it. Thank you for these videos.

Sure crazy how much tires cost now. I really like the metzeler 888. they last the longest so far. but my Dad had one start to separate the tread, one of mine started to look close to it too. hope that was just a fluke. I'm really thinking about going dark side tho. i think it's worth the try

Great video. I also have that Ryobi impact. I suggest the Milwakee 1/4" M12 impact. SOO much lighter and hits much harder.

Have same exhaust and hypercharger mapped. Shoots flames out the exhaust.
