Tackling the cult of speed and the cult of youth. One video at a time ....
Mingling with the audience
I love public speaking.
Especially when I get to mingle with the audience after I’ve been on stage.
Their reactions, insights and feedback broaden my mind and sharpen my thinking.
They also make me a better speaker.
So if you're ever at one of my events, come up and say hi!

Así es! Un abrazo slow desde Londres...🙏🏼🐢😉
@@carl6695 Gracias! Abrazo de vuelta! Seguimos! 💚🙏
Wut..?
I think I can speak for a large number of folks who would say we become wiser, but increasingly cynical with age. In most jobs, creativity is limited, often discouraged, and even stifled. So many of us become conditioned to be that way over time.
The more wisdom we have, the more clearly we see the failings of the world around us. Which can indeed lead to cynicism. But it does not have to. To me cynicism implies throwing in the towel. And we can always choose not to do that. Instead, we can follow the words of Gandhi: "Never despair of human nature."
@ I like to think I’ve retained some child-like wonder and a shred of hope that we will continue to grow and move forward. Each new regressive executive order feels like falling a few rungs on a ladder. It really chips away at the heart, but I haven’t thrown in the towel yet!
@@LastSifu There is plenty to feel despondent about. But yes, the trick is to cultivate wonder and hope....and hang on to that towel for as long as you can!
I figured this out too a couple of months back. This settles it for ADHD (and autistic) people and creativity.
I reckon neurodivergent people who find slowing down hard do find other ways to be creative....
In the shower. Or at the bar when you make a pit stop.
Indeed! I've had some very good ideas come to me over a slow glass of wine in a bar...😉 🍷
I love that you love my #DigitalNutrition concept enough to share about it! I coined it (and trademarked it) in 2013 to help us move form these binary notions that tech is good or bad, rather than exploring the nuances around the content and context of our rich and diverse online worlds.
What’s the show?
Sorry, not sure! It was on Sky TV a few years back

What happened? It just cut you off mid-sentence.
The edit is a little rough but that's where it's supposed to end. On the line: "We just wave it on through."
Being appropriate, and doing things at an appropriate pace... that's pretty wise.
I also love speed ❤
True, you have to cherrish every moment you got because at some point in your life you might have wished for that same moment again which will never come back.
Couldn't agree more. People often worry that if they slow down life will pass them by. But the opposite is true! Life is what's happening right here, right now - and the only way to make the most of it is to slow down and cherish the moment....
Calidad más no cantidad

With age comes wisdom
And other good things....
🥰
Great talk . Good idea . The perceptual goal of adulthood is to get old . Preferably with as much wellness as possible attached !! Thanks
Exactly! 💪🏽
Legitimate statement Thanks again Starman
Wow, there still much to do!
the written letter is as cold as ice
I agree. Love it ❤🙌
Yeah not true
Oh he looked better as he aged I think.esp w long hair n then The bangs were adorable ! His voice got so deep to expell all those melodies being born in his brain.men do usually age pretty good.wome. Look like they.lshould worry.
I still live a shildhood like this to this day 💀
Profound and honest, loved and missed ❤️🔥🌠
I'm nearly 60, and I agree.
The world needs more I of your widom..
Great advice
Demmark is a country inhabited exclusively by middle class people. So _obviously_ it's a nice place to live. In Britain we have people who are rough and aggressive. We dishonest people and people with shit lives and nothing to lose so they steal things and take drugs.
Seeing al those videos about Denmark, I now can tell the color of each house in Nyhavn, and in the correct order.
👏🏻👏🏻
Enjoyable conversation
It was a fun conversation to be part of! Though I think Julie was in a more lovely place than I was....
But where did it say it? is it in a song? In an interview? Because i only see the quote. And we know there are so fake quotes around. Does anybody here know if he really said it and when?

Great tip for any age
He’s so beautiful. Body and soul. Thank you for posting this so tastefully.
Glad you liked the post!
He was remarkable in so many ways ...
@@carl6695 in too many ways. 🙌🏼 I’ve loved him since I was only in grade school. Aw. There was an excellence about him. And his voice? I could simply listen to his speaking voice recite the telephone book.
@@MsSbunny1 He was absolutely sui generis. Not everybody got him, but those that did were transported....
@@carl6695 It must be said. I had no idea how widely loved and admired he was. Truly ignorant of me surely. However, David was totally 💯 “% dedicated to others and music as art. As a language even. He was fundamentally a legend as a human being and as a musician. So many people have been touched by him and his gorgeous view of the world. It’s been nice having this exchange about Mr. Jones. Thank you.
Beijos <3
