      Glad it was helpful! I like this tool more than I thought that I would. Very easy to use and give the result of a round brush blow dry in a very short time

    You’re not supposed to take big sections, they should be small (and even) sections. That’s why when you watch professional videos the hair is sectioned and parted evenly. Using big sections like you did will result in part of hair to be still damp and another part to be dry when it is supposed to be even. In an attempt to get the full section dry, people will keep going over and over that big section of hair which will result in overheating the hair which will then lead to damage. Heated tools, especially heated brushes need to be used responsibly. And as a stylist you really should be giving the correct advice.

      Thanks for your feedback. I have very fine hair and my hair dried well with the big sections. Honestly, in my 39 years of hairdressing experience the feedback that I get from clients is that most people rush their home hair styling technique. I am merely demonstrating that hair like mine, with this tool you can get away with doing this. If you had thick hair this wouldn't be the case, you would need to take smaller sections to be able to manage your technique and cut down the time spent on each section. ghd tools have very sophisticated thermostats which keep the tool at a constant 185 degrees, which is the perfect temperature to style hair that lasts without damaging it.

    This is set at 185°F. Is that temp ok for extremely fine hair? I'm 60, but have always had very fine hair. I've tried a few tools over the years, but disabling illness plus lack of knowledge has left me with failure. Plus anything that I HAVE tried, I've always set to about 100-120°F and the curls/waves just fall out! I wouldn't be using it very often. Thank you. Amazing how quick that was! 💐

      I'm in Australia and we use Celsius. ghd recommends 185 celsius because its the perfect temperature to make styling last without burning the hair. I have just posted another video on the ghd Duet Blowdry brush. I'm pretty impressed with this tool also. Maybe give this one a watch?

    • @halfcutmclarenvale4084
      @halfcutmclarenvale4084 20 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      the curls last as long as I protect my hair from moisture. The 185 degrees celsius help make this happen.

      That can happen with certain round brushes, especially the ones with the round balls on the end. I have never had that problem with the ghd Rise

    Hi, is it necessary ti use the brush only in dry hair? Thank you

    • @halfcutmclarenvale4084
      @halfcutmclarenvale4084 20 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      yes it's important to use it only on dry hair. If you want to use something from wet to dry try the brand new ghs Duet blowdry brush. Its similar because it had a heated barrel but also blows hot air to dry the hair at the same time. I've just done another video demonstrating this. Check it out.

      @halfcutmclarenvale4084 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Lynne, the Rise is a fabulous tool to help you get a round brush blow dried look. I've watched a lot of the other videos and they seem to be beauty youtubers wanting to grow their youtube station so sometimes hating a tool will get you more views than liking it. I however, have set up this station to help my salon clients style their hair. You see as a hairdresser you have to make all of these videos for social media and marketing, so why not put them on youtube to help others!

    Hi! What is the main difference for a non-expert user between this tool and a regular curling wand? Thank you!

    • @halfcutmclarenvale4084
      @halfcutmclarenvale4084 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The main difference would be that it give you more of a round brush blow dried look with way more volume at the roots that a regular curling wand. The Rise also has the ultrazone technology the same a the top of range ghd Platinum +. This is a very sophisticated thermostat that will keep the temperature at a very consistent 185C. This will avoid serious damage to the hair's cuticle.
