Echoes of Wisdom: The Lost Oracle Game? (The Legend of Zelda)
Did you know Nintendo intended on making a third Oracle game known as 'Mystical Seed of Wisdom'? Is it possible that The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom germinated from the unused concepts from that game?

Ocarina of Time may be the first appearance of Koume and Kotake in a Zelda game, but versions the characters have actually been around for much longer. They are loose adaptations of decrepit old twins from a Japanese mystery novel titled "The Village of Eight Graves" published over 70 years ago! ►Follow me on X! x.com/kaeporagabeora ►Follow me on TikTok! Does Cadence Of Hyrule fit on the Zelda Timeline?
This also fits in with what we learned in totk, the master sword gets stronger when bathed in sacred power. So resting in the triforce made it stronger like in totk with Zelda’s dragon. Neat!
I love ganon paradoxs yayyyyy yippe *air horn*
Regardless of Original Founding or Refounding, we now know the Zonai are undeniably close to the Gods. This explains their connections to Buddhism. The ancient civilization of Skyward Sword also built structures with Buddhist and Hindu imagery. The esoteric mysteries of The Legend of Zelda fall in line with eastern philosophical religions. There's a theory that the Buddha statue in the Ancient Cistern depicts the chief of the God's Clan and might be the same figure as the God of Light (Spirits of Good/Hikari no Kami) from Spirit Tracks. Very interesting how the Zonai use this kind of imagery! Unlike the Hylians who worshipped Hylia, the Zonai may have worshipped the chief of the God's Clan or simply whatever divine order they were a part of.
I was on team anouki also, but after thinking about it I believe the answer is, yes. You see each one of these 3 species is on a different branch of the timeline. The anouki from the adult timeline, the yeti's from the child timeline and the yeti 000/Conde from the fallen timeline. It is possible there was an unknown toot species from before the timelines split that ended up as these 3 species in each timeline. Great short!
Thank you!
The divine beast rudania is just darunia scrambled up

Bro that dragon in windwaker is cool af 😂
Not when he's angry 👿
but isn‘t he on Dragon Roost Island aka Rito Village instead of the Gorons?
@@TheXrone yes that’s correct, for the current time period. But remember The Wind Waker is a sequel to Ocarina of Time. The statues leading into Dragon Roost Cavern appear to be Gorons (according to many). And this would make sense if Dragon Roost is the old Death Mountain. They are both volcanoes with red dragons inside. And the Zelda books go as far to imply Valoo is a descendant of Volvagia. And the volcanoes both have that smoke ring at the top. Also Din’s Pearl is found at Dragon Roost, and the goddess Din and her virtue of power are closely tied to Death Mountain (like the Eldin Region in Breath of the Wild or Echoes of Wisdom). In short, a lot of people think that the Gorons and vagabonds in The Wind Waker because they abandoned their ancestral Death Mountain; whether they fled some evil (like a dragon) or were pushed out is unknown. The door by those apparent Goron statues does have twin dragons on it so I think to think it was the former - it’s like a “Beware of Dragon!” sign.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
They also learn their lesson, especially in the ocarina of Time, to let their food supply be open to everybody cuz Ganon sealed it off and they couldn't eat for a long time. In wind waker it's mostly just because it's a sacred place and a rite of passage for young Rito who need their wings. (and the gorons are not even in death mountain in wind waker lol.)
A lot of us think Dragon Roost is the old death mountain and that those statues covering the entrance are Gorons and that proves it, if so then the Gorons used to inhabit it
@@Gabeoravaloo is also not contempt to anyone who isn't Ganon. And that's true I forgot about that LOL. One thing I've always found interesting though is and there's no Gorons in wind waker other than some wandering merchants. I always thought that the Zoras came to death mountain after the gorons had been practically massacred. But even then I highly doubt that valoo is the one who massacred them. In the very beginning of wind waker it shows the cool opening scene and it appears that Ganon is coming out from under a mountain. I always thought that Ganon just attacked the goron first killing everyone of them but the simple merchants.
That actually makes sense 😅😮
I’m finally remembering to comment on this short. I really love this and the out of the box thinking. It lit my mind on fire wanting to know how other magical crystals were forms :)
I mean it seems like they are all related right? One of the books even says it’s possible the ocarina of time was made with time shift stones
I mean cool theory. But totk at the end of all timelines the mastersword is alive and well. Even Fi is confirmed alive in it
I don’t believe in the convergence theory. I actually think Wilds Era is Adult Timeline
@@Gabeoranonsense
I hope it is not broken just Frogotten
What's converged in this epic and long history are the storylines for Link and Zelda, who were separated the moment Ganondorf awakened.
Ot required 13 hearts
Yeah it was the first 3 u had at the beginning then 10 more
All of that is crapped on by the fact that Death Mountain is southwest in Zelda 2 and northeast in Tears
Interesting
Thank you
I would have to say that gloom seems more like an ability of Ganon's because he has the secret Stone. Might crystals donseem like Master sword shards though lol😅😂
That was a cool theory. One interesting thing that I have found is that the rifts in a Link between worlds remind me of rifts in echoes. It would seem like the dark world was a world Null created in efforts to break free from the triforce which then was destroyed making the still world. There's a lot of problems with this theory it's just something to think about... Great video though
Thank you so much!
@Gabeora anytime! Thank you for making a great video!
Mother Maiamai directly confirms in ALBW there are multiple other dimensions. Null is likely just a being (a Tri) discarded by the Goddesses into an empty dimension after fulfilling its use in one of those worlds Mother Maiamai mentions. In other words, other instances of creation exist in other worlds where Null has no part in it.
@hintonempire1178 that is true
Remember that if the Zelda series is in the same timeline. Therefore it is not in a different dimension.
That is a cool theory
Thank you!
HELL YEAH
I am very new to the Zelda franchise and this theory made total sense to me!!! Probably my favorite theory I've heard in a while
That’s awesome thank you I’m glad you liked it!
It is so obvious in retrospect, making the key to entering the most sacred of worlds, the most sacred of items lol
I love the idea of this so much. Seeing the implementation of the illusory realm in BotW has cemented for me that this is true and that being in the location of the Sacred Realm and actually viewing the realm itself aren’t the same experience. It sometimes feels to me that seeing the realm itself is reserved for spiritually awakened individuals perhaps.
Ya da bomb Zoey
My mind is blown! I never noticed that haha. 😅 What a video🎉
Thank you so much
@Gabeora no thank you (Lol jk/
If true, this is another mark against adult timeline placement for BOTW/TOTK. Since the adult timeline has both the temple of time destroyed and Hyrule is moved to a new continent. For the fallen hero timeline, it seems to fit in nicely.
Good point
That’s a cool thought
That's so true!!
Fire 🔥🔥
Interesting take on it being the launch of the golden era, hadn't looked at it that way!
Hi @@LadyCucco thanks!
Where do you think it happens in relation to Echoes of Wisdom? I'd love if you did a followup video to that and also mentioned the connections between Vaati and Octavo :))
@@MarissaChillya great idea for a video. I have only briefly thought about it but initially I’m thinking Cadance is right after Echoes. The royal family has the triforce at the beginning of the game in Cadence, and I think Echoes explains how they got it
@@Gabeoraalso cadence has the beach but echoes doesn't!! I agree!!
@Gabeora i think theres a lot to work with in respect to the two zora tribes after playing the game! when you make this video, you could call it "Does Cadence of Hyrule STILL fit on the Zelda Timeline? (2025)"
What does Canon mean? I’ve been wanting to know for a long time!
“Canonical” means authoritative, standard, or officially accepted. Derived from the Late Latin canonicus (“according to rule”), from Greek kanon (“rule” or “standard”).
@@Gabeorai understand now thanks!
Timeline split coming off of Skyward Sword? Demise is killed twice in that one, once by the Triforce in the present (I think this leads on to the traditional timelines), and again in the past by Link (I think this leads to BOTW and TOTK). Seems ripe for fixing this discontinuity.
Zelda series in the entire good-natured chronological order of the series: skyward sword, the minish cap, four sword, ocarina of time, the sealed palace, dawn and dusk, the missing link, majora's mask, angtherum, zelda indigo, twilight princess, four sword adventure, the wind waker, phantom hourglass, spirit tracks, a link to the past, oracle of ages, oracle of seasons, link's awakening, a link between worlds, echoes of wisdom, triforce heroes, zelda 1, zelda 2, hyrule warriors, age of calamity, breath of the wild, relics of the past, and the tears of the kingdom,
why did you include fangames but not the game the video is about?
I play every Zelda game and not once have I ever cared about the timeline
it also breaks canon because in ocarina timeline zora evolved into the rito (why they did this when swimming would be way better in water world than flying i dunno but whatever). yet rito and zora live side by side and the deku are nowhere to be seen. honestly you want the truth? nintendo is full of it because you guys just absolutely HAVE to have everything connected so theyre half assed linking stuff that was never meant to be. the truth to the timeline: there is no timeline. youre just too full of yourself to accept it.
clarification: some games are obviously tied (OOT, MM, WW, TP, etc) but very vast majority of series is purely side content, the equivalent to one shots in the comic world. think of it like a multiverse, and different points of time in said multiverse
I genuinely believe that this ganondorf is the last one but that these events took place after the old Hyrule passed away. As Fujibayashi-san hinted, maybe this Hyrule was a new one founded after the fall of a previous one.
I believe it was stated that the events of botw and totk take place AGES after the rest of the timeline where the rest of the games and stories had "fallen into myth", meaning this is a whole new Ganon and there havent been any after him, as OoT has already taken place a millenia before
But both accounts say their respective Ganondorfs became calamity ganon. So if OoT took place ages prior to the ToTK past and he became calamity ganon, how could the subsequent ToTK Ganondorf also become calamity ganon?
Its always been a paradox play all games back to back and you'll see yourself dont get everything just try to finish the games main points and you'll see
Could just be that Hyrule itself keeps being recreated after massive floods - after spirit tracks and the water recedes, Raruru recreates the long lost civ
New Hyrule (now a beyond ancient kingdom) encountering this even newer Hyrule is an interesting idea.
Nah Botw and totk are ages ahead of ocarina and the rest of the games along the timeline. It’s a completely unrelated demon king/ganon. Only really really connected in concept/spirit/meta-narrative
Because Breath of the wild and Tears of the Kingdom are in it's OWN timeline. It's not "Canon" to "Canon"
Ganon did look "demonic" while Raru was the "hero that sealed" him with his hand instead of a sword like people are thinking. The sages are the elemental sages instead of the past sages. So it still works
The thing is that the sages Ruto and Nabooru are remembered in game via the Zora tablets and dialogue by Urbosa respectively. The creating a champion expands on this and says they fought alongside the hero wielding the master sword and the Princess to stop the demon king
I can't read Japanese, so I just went off the videos info, so that's where I got confused. 👍 I hope ya have a good day btw.
Also the fact that twilight princess link unalived Ganondorf
You forgot one thing. Botw and ToTK is alternate timeline. Why? Cause time effery by zelda. She doesn't know how to listen. If she had listened to her father when he said that nobody is to go under the castle. NOBODY. BUT NO SHE DIDN'T LISTEN.
Meh, if anything, we can see it as Demise was the very beginning, then Ganondorf from TotK past, and while he is sealed, the Malice slowly leaking out over time maybe caused clones of him to be "born," in-between Calamities, but that it's still always the 1 Ganondorf. Or, that BotW and TotK are their own timeline that can't exist with most if the other games, and all the references to other games are just non canon easter eggs.
The first scenario had always been my headcanon but now I don’t know
It’s all just one Gannon all the way from ocarina to totk.
There are 3 hyrule kingdoms... first is the original that skyward sword link and zelda founded, then there is new hyrule found in an alternate timeline many years after the events of phantom hourglass by wind waker link and tetra. Then theres botw hyrule that exists thousands of years later by king raru and queen sonia. Calamity ganondorf comes after all the prior Ganondorf's that have existed in history and theirfore, a new hyrule kingdom was founded at some point, its the only way botw and totk can fit on the timeline without reconning every game prior to botw or considering botw and totk a reboot.
There technically is a 4th Hyrule that we see the ruins of in Skyward Sword.
@@Mr.Foxhat yea a lot of people think that the Hero Of Sky's kingdom was the first itteration of the Kingdom Of Hyrule, but there was a kingdom likely directly ruled by Hylia prior to Hyrule's fissure
