Very Cool, i played with Terry Dugger for a year or so. He was a cool friend and lived across the street from Collinsville Park Ballroom. He was also at my Wedding and we got up and played a few songs together with Dan Scott from Effic, my Cousin Alan Winkler on vocals and harp, Kevin Heim on Guitar and Vocals, me on Bass. We have a picture somewhere to prove it. Terry drifted away and was working on becoming an arborist (tree trimming) I would love to catch up with him. I hope Terry is doing well. I am still married to my Teri. So we were married March 19 1977 in Highland Illinois. I lived there. We backed up the Guild every other week or so on Sundays and sometimes Thursdays. Roy Day, the Sound guy eventually came to work for us. The guild lasted a little while longer. I saw Jim and Rich a few years later at Vanzos in Collinsville playing. I stopped in 1977 to attend SIUE and then St Louis U. Started working for Shell Oil at the Roxana Refinery in 1981. Left for Houston in 89, then Montreal in 99, Back to Houston, then Zurich in 2024, Back to Houston then Shanghai China in 2005, back to Houston then Dhahran Saudi Arabia in 2012 till I retired in 2016. Playing music a bit here and there. You can see Effic's last show in 2018 on my youtube channel. We played all our songs we did over the years, a 4 hour show. We all flew in for that and did rehearsals for 6 months once a month. We ended up raising enough to build a ball park for the kids.

Terry Dugger La Verne, CA - Terry Dugger, 77, formerly of Rosewood Heights, IL, died of natural causes at his home in La Verne, CA on December 14, 2023. He was born on February 8, 1946 in Alton, IL. He was the son of the late Helen and Neal Dugger and was proceeded in death by his sister Carol Ann (Dugger) Moss, and brother Denny Dugger. He is survived by two sisters; Sandra (Dugger) Zimmermann and Joyce (Dugger) Lindley and many nieces and nephews. Terry had a love of music and was an extremely talented and creative drummer. In his younger years, he was a member of the popular band, The Guild, from Collinsville, IL. Terry loved his family and had a great relationship with God. He loved reading the Bible. Terry was buried with military honors at Riverside National VA Cemetery in Riverside, CA. A memorial bench for Terry will be placed near his family in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto, IL. so sorry to hear this news...

I got the recording from Rich Lang (the guy on the left) the guitar player. Rich had a recording studio as well a s Bill Uker. Bill few us to a few jobs in his plane. We all worked for Ike Haisler at Haisler produciton talent booking agency in Collinsville. Rich gave me that recording on a cassette tape in the late 70's. It traveled all the world with me till I was able to get a computer with tape to wave file. I restored it the best I could. Some in the band "the Guild" did very well. Tom Kelly is in the songwriters hall of fame. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Kelly_(musician) Tom Kelly and Denny Henson eventually started Fools Gold band (also on my youtube page and you can hear them sing there.) Fools Gold was the band that played with Dan Fogelberg on tour with Dan as frontman. The guys also had a stint wtih Toto. I was awestruck with their vocal talents. Other famous Guild musician was none other than Michael McDonald (Doobie Brothers, Steely Dan...). Yes they were a true "Super Group" in 1971 and good friends. We purchased all their old equipment when we started in 1970... and kept buying their gear. I was 15 years old... and played 6 nights a week in the Metro Area with the Band Effic ... traveling from Chicago to Cairo, but most gigs were in Illinois metro as we had a huge number of people coming over since the illinois beer drinking age was 18. St Louis it was 21 as i recall so our clubs were jammed with kids coming over. The Grainery, Collinsvill Park, Night Gallery and many others.

The guys had so much talent... now for the rest of the story... After leaving the Guild, Tom Kelley and Denny Henson went on to form Fools Gold and became the band for Dan Fogelberg. After that, the guys continued on to do lots of vocal work for other big name acts in the studio. Tom Kelley became a prolific song writer and was inducted into The The Songwriters Hall of Fame in June of 2011! Tom, along with writing partner Billy Steinberg co-wrote five #1 hit singles, including "Like A Virgin" (for Madonna), "True Colors (Cyndi Lauper), "Eternal Flame" (the Bangles), "So Emotional" (Whitney Houston) and "Alone" (Heart). The duo also wrote several more Top 10 hits including "I'll Stand By You" (the Pretenders), "I Touch Myself" (the Divinyls), "I Drove All Night" (Cyndi Lauper), and "In Your Room" (the Bangles). He worked for Korte construction. Dave Zobrist lives in Dallas and is an architect. I retired from at 60 from petchem industry working around the world. Steve Kannall is a retired music teacher. I am happy you enjoyed the concert. More songs available on my channel. We performed a 4 hr show in 2018

@@garygnaedinger1 Michael is on this recording??? What year was this recorded? Also, do the vocalists also play instruments or did they do just the vocals. I was performing musician for 44 years. All I can say is that the singers AND the band take no prisoners here.
