Warringah is many wonderful worlds rolled into one and we're celebrating ---- together ---- the things that make living here, well ...wonderful.
Wherever you are in Warringah, you're not far from pristine bushland and you're just minutes from some of the world's most glorious ocean beaches. That connection to nature is at the heart of the way we live.

Sediment Core Sampling at Dee Why Lagoon
If you want to fix Dee Why, you’ll have to get rid of the scum that’s been living their for 40 years
Grew up there 1950-65, before the medium-density explosion and overcrowding. Basically paradise but we all took it for granted back then.
Great race Dad love u Joel!
I absolutely love the Narrabeen Lagoon Trail. In many sections you can completely forget that you are in the middle of suburbia. I recently recorded a video of the full loop: th-cam.com/video/d13WwVBCwFc/w-d-xo.html
funny what they are building now is entirely different
I actually don't like what they're doing. They're stripping the suburb of all its old character.
We Need worship
The park is finished and it is amazing. A wonderful addition. Families flock to it to have fun, laze in the sun, hold kids parties and revel in the water fountain spray. A space enjoyed by all ages and nationalities.
Ghetto by the sea! Stop cramming units in! Fantastic plastic! What pea brained moron decided to close off a road to Pittwater? Roads are choked now.
I'd like to see this vision. I am skeptical though. I believe they will give us the high rise but not the glassy style, water pieces and tree lined avenues in which it's presented here. There needs to be accountability to holding this plan as it is represented here.
Call me old fashioned, but; this erases the old stomping ground of many locals? If you too think so ; comment. This just makes me feel unfamiliar in my own area. You cant pre-design character!? - it is the slow evolution of individual additions that gives personality. Perhaps The very 'modernistic' it's self, is an overdone idea now - you cant expect modernistic to be modern/desirable forever [ eg; look at cars now - they all have an average look, a 'modern', sleek charmless design? Not everyone will agree of course - but it would be a reasonable %age
Looks fantastic. I am a long time resident of Dee Why and this excites me!
Mount Druitt of the Northern Beaches
nice
Nice video!!
What a fantastic creative space with world class artworks on display. Congratulations, Warringah Council.
My daughter and I did the full lake ride and I have to say it was one of the best rides I have ever done. thank you Warringah council for such a fantastic gift..
That looks great, thanks Warringah Council.
I could have done all that Drone footage for you !!!!!
Open now for play!
What a filthy stinking cesspool!!
Looks great guys, now that's a Dee Why that I would love to be a part of. Will it ever happen though? Dee Why is such a dump but it has soo much potential!!
Our fantastic new video about Stony Range. Don't forget the Spring Festival this Sunday www.warringah.nsw.gov.au/play/whats/warringah-council-events/stony-range-spring-festival-0
Hi, PLACE design group composed it themselves.
An offensive comment has been removed.
Look forward to hearing more about the Plan
Thanks for your ideas everyone! The plan will be released soon for your comments.
What is the name of the song playting on the soundtrack please??
I love your new vision and your plan for the future also the fact you have young and enthusiastic staff BUT where will you get the funding and investment for your support - Congratulations on the new website, info and master plan - what a change - congrats Michael Regan - also see 150% more useage on cycle paths more user friendly and more family friendly and more info about everything.
Thanks to everyone who has previously made a comment on You Tube. Your comments are being collated and will be included in a summary. Please go to Council's website to give more detailed feedback.
I have started a non for profit organisation with other people from the local community in order to invite and engage others into our sport. Who should I talk to to see if an inclusion of an indoor sand court with a net facility could be included in any of the new sports development that is happening within Warringah Council? I'd like to receive the support of local government and be an active supporter of a healthy and active multicultural community.
I wish I was there, to advocate for more out-door exercise stations in our often barren parks. Let the ping-pong table, at Dee Why Beach, be the precursor. Well done!
I am so tired to asking as we've been lobbying for years. Please give us a patch of beach to swim with our dogs.
Well done guys, you did a fabulous job!
What? No mention of music or the arts??? What sort of community is that? For thousands of years the indigenous locals danced, sang and played music here. A community with no music has no spirit. You want a community hub? then search facebook or google for "Northern Beaches Conservatorium"
Sound?? or Words??
I feel sorry for the residents living in Alfred Road. They've lived there most of their lives and now have to put up with a 12 storey residential tower being erected directly opposite their homes. I live in Brookvale and I have never received any documentation in the post about a new develpemnt in Brookvale!!! the oval is great and I like the new plans for it too but a 12 storey tower?? are you serious??
Oh please read my post starting from the bottom up lol
I dont know much about the idea of things or where Manly stand with positions but why does the club need to redevelop the Southern stand to make way for development commercialy or whatever they plan on . Why not purchase something AWAY from Brookvale be it another city and develop some fund producing scheme to support our Eagles into the future . This could also allow for the ground to be upgraded to a class standard with the funds rolling in and stages being completed throughout the process .
by cutting corners to support the financial needs. This leaves out more on what the Sea Eagles are. I don't think cutting one end off completely is a good idea . Reducing capacity is certainly not the right angle and more emphasis needs to be put in place. The concept of the project should be to addressed with comparison to other venues of the same required standard. Which this clearly does not.
It is clear that the plan in place is a good one for the Sea Eagles future financially . It would be hard to argue against that. It would generate a income Manly could use for years to come . However I feel that the disigners have not hit the right target on developing the right layout for the ground itself .It does look very much like there is a lack of cohesion and understanding on what is paramount for the general context of how a class game stadium (ground) could be built
Hey Adrian do you even follow the Sea Eagles because if you do you would realize this is a garbage design for a 1st grade football team
Why would you design something like this with 8000 capacity. What a waste of time and money.
It's good see something is finally being done about Brookvale Oval, but this plan would be great for local pub league, not a national competition. At this rate in 2014 it will be the Sunshine Coast Sea Eagles.
What a joke. We need more stadium seating, not less. Removing seating in the southern end and making the oval a horse shoe is a terrible idea. I know money is tight, but this is a professional and national sporting team that is important to the community. We need to provide them with a stadium that contains as much under cover seating as the money will allow, not a glorified park where fans can only view the field from 3 sides because one side has been cut off by overlooking apartment blocks!!
