My dad liked a "good" drink, and one of my older brothers was/is an alcoholic. I haven't seen him for more than 35 years so I don't know if he's still alive. Because I grew up with family that drank, I decided when I was in my late teens that I wasn't going to put myself or any loved ones through the same thing. So I stopped drinking, (and I only drank socially), when I was around 21/22 years old. That was back in 1983.

Tyhe climate does change in cycles, yes, all the time. However, these cycles, known as Milankovitch cycles, occur on timescales between tens of thousands and hundreds of thousands of years. The current warming trend is very definitely not that, because it's happening over mere decades. You should try getting your scientific information from sources other than the moron press.

Oh dear Anne - what a dreadful situation. I agree, these systems are still in their infancy. When I moved in here there was a very old heating system - I got it going (when it was -10 outside only for me to wake up the following morning to water dripping through the ceiling onto my bed! I decided then to rip it all out and install a new system with a new combi boiler - best thing I did. No tanks in the loft to leak!!
