This video and the last one taught me everything I know about Astroneer

This still didn’t help much because you’re playing on the PC and the controls are completely different on Xbox… I don’t mind trying most survival games, but I hate how many of them just drop you into the world without explaining anything at all about how to actually survive. 😑

My controller has back buttons an RT just won't work but when I put it to my back buns it worked just fine

the tether did not drop for me and I dont think I can craft one

Thx for that video it is now in game pass, but there is no damn turtorial and I stuck right now at the point with that thing what makes the printer? But only in my game it expand show this bluish thing under and no more. I give a another try but from a first start it is very bad at what you should do!

The fact that I couldn’t even figure out how to sprint or even pick stuff up on a controller 😭this helps with a tutorial even if not on controller very helpful cuz dam was I stuck on what to do lol

I didn't know about the rendering in of pals! Really good to know, and explains why I've missed a few.

For the feedbox, pal eat from left to right so maybe mid t late game you want them to eat a bit of salad, then have massive food like fried egg, but mass salad production is quite sustainable and that trick for the honey can also be done with cotton candy from the ranch that also does not spoil ever. The sort thing well it was right there all the time, I've used it since level 5. For the raids there's a beach spot right close to the Penking alpha with a lot of nice room and after like 50 hours in that base I have never once got raided, it's a good base early on. I moved my base to the top of like the abandoned high tech village up north as it has a bigger area and also no raids since it's on top of a tower.

I'm stuck on the Astroneering Bas(e)ics mission. I put the oxygenator on my Shelter and plugged a cable into the printer, but it doesn't let me "collect my starting gear from any landing pad." I'm trying everything, it doesn't seem to work... your video shows the same thing but it works for you for some reason???

oh, i looked up a tutorial thinking i was dumb but no, the game just bugged 3 times in a row...... the mission that gives the tethers is fully complete and says there are rewards but there is no collection button on it, its empty. its asking me to place the tethers i dont have, i thought i had to craft them and came here to look up a guide, guess i will verify my game files and try again....

Take all the dirt, make it useful, then dig straight down. It’s fun for sure but for the most part that’s how you beat it. Also I forgot the names of the machines, I played the very first couple of builds and it was not very vehicle friendly to say the least 😅 for online that was

1:11 OMFG. I've been messing around for a freaking hour trying to figure out how to find the small printer and oxygenator, and they were there the whole time?? They could have made it a bit more obvious

I got this for Christmas and I want to play it but dont even know where to start. Glad you made this I was so confused

The tutorial on the Switch is especially poor. First off, as soon as you exit the ship it covers that entire animation with the tutorial screen, teaching how to "walk" and "look around"... no I'm sorry, I think it just says "revolve" or... something like that. 🙄 Then, it tells you a couple decent hints and keys, it tells you how to pick stuff up (but not how to drop it), and that you need to "install" the oxygenator... which just means dropping it near the base... but it doesn't tell you the key binds for using the tethers or how to take things out of your bag... or... idk it's just really bizarre. I remember playing this before either on Xbox or PC for hours and really enjoying it... But man, has it been a pain to get started on the Switch!

New to the game and this was a great guide...keep up the good work.

The controller controls for this game are so unintuitive that I nearly threw my controller through the wall and refunded this game. However, after watching some videos like yours and sticking with it, I did finally start enjoying the game at about 2 hours and 1 minute - just outside the refund window 😂

Another tip when gathering, if you switch modes such as the up arrow that picks up land, every resource in that area will be picked up at the same time. Making it a bit faster early on

Thank you for this video. When I started astroneer I was really lost and this helped a lot. And now I’m stuck again, because I seem to not find important stuff. So any guides on how to proceed or where to find stuff, how to explore without getting lost etc are greatly appreciated

all there failed space games have 1 thing in common, make a fucking tutorial sheesh, you want people to play your complex game, make a damn tutorial!
