Very nice video and well explained. I used waterslide decals for nails for use on my Hello Kitty racing team. That was a top tip from my wife.

Everything is blurry when you move which is pretty often so its really hard to enjoy the video. I would suggest getting a video camera with a higher frame rate so your TH-cam channel can become more successful.

Hi Chris, I find when trying to cut the hood section out you are better off using drill bits. Gradually cut a bigger hole using the smaller one as a pilot hole. Then once it's large enough, use small pin files to square the hole. Honestly it's much more precise and so much easier.

As always, great work! One thing I've always liked, and try to model my work after, is the way you pay attention to the details from the perspective of functionality. The weathering is on-point and every video you make is a tutorial in that space, but you celebrate/elevate the vehicle and also fabricate it with survival and firepower in mind. Two pairs of machine guns on the top; the armor protecting the back; your neverending run of front assemblies to bash through and eviscerate anything in its path. Tank treads can often be a challenge in terms of matching scale, but this really fits. A longbed pickup would be about the length of an average tank, so the reality shines through. Thanks again for agreeing to be a Guest Horsemen. I hope an entirely new audience gets to experience the work you do, and how you package it in a video. I try not to make it look obvious how much I crib from you when I'm putting my videos together.

If you really want to go for an aged look with wood, burn it. Get a torch lighter and make some random passes along the wood. Don't burn it all, unless that the look your going for, but give it some streaks of burn, some edges, etc. The stain the rest and seal it. The end result is a wood with much more character and age.

No matter how rudimentary the final result is, DIY terrain is always the absolute BEST! YOUR own thinking process, blood, sweat and tears went into each stage of the build. You’re not simply assembling and putting paint on someone else’s work. PS. By the way, I’m so glad you wrote “No 3-D” in the title. Thanks for that. These days I’m always hesitant to click on new channel videos because oftentimes, when they claim to have built a terrain piece, they really mean that their PRINTER made that piece.
