Here’s an another quick tire change tutorial. With the right lubricant these beads will set 10-15 PSI. Make sure it’s not too cold out when changing the tire as well. As someone new to onewheel but a longtime snowboarder, would you recommend I get a new Pint S direct from FM (1 yr warranty), or a used Pint XV < 70 miles for $250 less on Craigslist? (what do I do if something breaks? 😅)

I have a GT and I appreciate haptic buzz. Avoiding unnecessary crashes is good by me.
So if the pint S is basically the same as the pint X after the update would you recommend just buying a pint x which is cheaper?

I’ve heard conflicting things about the speed of the pint x after they do the software update so we will have to see if they give US pint x people the extra to mph. For me 18 is just too slow. I usually ride my GTS so I’m used to cruising a lot faster and 20 isn’t bad but 18 feels painfully slow
you were talking about the service to get the original pint the new firmware so it can go faster. Can you expand on how we go about that process?

They fixed the battery wire issues on the new Pint Xs.
@Renopropulsionlabs No they Never, all My Freinds Pint X Wires all spliced. My Freinds has to Cut the Plastic to fit. Even that, still Snugg

Depends if you want the extra range of the pint X. The pint has a smaller battery compartment so options are more limited but yes we could do that!
I bought the avaspark kit for my og pint. But I think I'm gonna look for an stl file to 3d print for the Pint x battery box to put the X battery on my build. It's my first time trying to vesc anything, so hopefully, it works 😂. How has your vesc pint x experience been? Did you use the stock battery?

I don't know how you manage to do it without a lot of swearing. Getting the tire off the rim is tough. But I'm getting better. One tip for those at home - I find clamps good for breaking the beads if you don't have a bead breaker. I use trigger style clamps. Very easy process.
Clamps work great also! Trust me there was a lot of swearing before I really got it down
Didn't even want to try the V1 hub? I found tuning the motor extremely fun.

Nice review. I am also riding TFL Pioneer tire, only the 6.5 mid compound version which I think is the perfect off road tire though I haven't tried them all. Anyway, my question is what shoes are you wearing? Looks like you have laces and a velcro strip across the top. I'm looking for black shoes I can wear at work but also ride Onewheel with as I ride my Onewheel to work.
These are Ride Concepts flat soled MTB shoes. I love them for riding and actually have a few pairs of them!

Any follow-up video after two months? How does it hold up?
No plans on another video but it’s been doing great! My 12 year old rides the heck out of it.
My kid had his x4s for 3 days and the board started shutting off mid ride and not turning back on. Bought it on sale and now I have to return it and buy new for full price, what a waste of time
You should contact their customer service! Their customer service is very good, and there is also a 9-month warranty. I had a small problem with my X4, which was quickly resolved under their guidance.

This torque head room feature is essentially worthless. This was the straw to broke me. I decided to stop dealing with an inferior copy of a VESC and get the real deal. Can’t wait for my Floatwheel GTV kit.

Strength: how forceful/stiff the angle adjustment is. Rider aggressiveness & weight might be good factors to consider. Speed: How quickly it happens. Max Angle: how much the board is allowed to adjust its angle. It will only adjust to what is needed for any given slope, but you decide the upper limit.
HAHAHAHA FM is agian a year late to the party lol. Also it would have been great to see you actually pick up some speed to show the wana be duty cycle in action

duty cycle and torque are two different things you will get hurt if you use the torque meter as duty cycle info to push limits...

I just met the dude that makes these. He let me ride one, and they're sick. Ayal (butchering his name) is so nice. He offered me to go riding with him this afternoon. He legit makes these by hand. I hope they catch on. I wish him and his family all the success in the world. It's was such a rush that I felt like I was surfing. Carving in and out of turns. Blown away! I would buy one if I didn't live in an RV.
I found that this update has really raised my nose in general. I had to put it at -5 now to compensate.
Try brining your gradient tracking degree down or turning it to stock
Gradient tracking is too high. Though this could be useful for bent rails that want a higher nose
@@thewheelneil1379 Gradient tracking angle is adjustable. If your nose is too high adjust the angle or turn the feature down all together. I ride with WTF Standards and I havnt had any issues. It started off a little high, and then all I needed to do was adjust it a bit. now its AWESOME!

Hi thewheelneil I have standard W rails and wonder if you could give me a little advice on setting him up I had them on 3° nose up with the 3.0 custom shaping upgrade. So once I downloaded the firmware update, I basically went in and set all the ride modes to 3° nose up tilt after download completed but haven’t taken for a ride
I think I’ll hold off from updating. I’m still on pre haptic buzz so I’m super worried about messing up my board. If it ain’t broke don’t update it. Nice video mate. 🤙🏼
Here's my unsolicited feedback 😂 Totally get it, but I would also say that I used to feel the same way and have zero regrets about updating. But it depends on what kind of rider you are. If you cruise flat pavement, pre haptic buzz might be your thing since the buzz can get annoying. If you ride trails however, there's no comparison. Setting up a custom tune (or multiple) to your liking, and the absolutely smooth riding behavior after updating makes the board feel like a free performance upgrade. Gradient tracking in particular let me take lines on trails I didn't even consider before. The one caveat would be if you plan on getting new angled rails. Do that first and re-level the board. Then update.

As of now no one knows. If you are running the pre haptic buzz firmware it breaks a lot of work arounds though
I went on an 11mile ride yesterday to test it out and it seems to have broken hard breaking with custom shaping. I primarily ride Flow and can hold a hard break pretty good, now into a hard break it almost releases and forced the board to tail drag mid-break. A little bit scary because I wasn’t expecting it, but when I reset Flow to factory settings it fixed the issue. Still testing tho. I guess 11 miles wasn’t enough.

How can I make it do that automatically I want to honk at people
I've noticed TLT board about a month ago. And it's one of the most original and interesting PEV designs i've ever seen. What's crazy is that it's been around for almost 20 years, but there's so little information about it. Even finding high res photos and videos is almost impossible. Thank you for reviewing it.

Future motion told me after just one month they will not be providing support to me for my brand new GTS I just purchased from them. Just because they did not like the fact I was point out all there flaws and asking why they are not fixing them. You can not trust the company and glad there are shops out there to help people who decide to get in with FM and find out how much they suck. Best to just buy used and VESC it when it breaks.
I am not going to disagree with that.
