Hello Benson, thanks for this wonderful video. Is it possible to authenticate users via LDAP groups in open source postgresql? For example if I add DBA group in pg_hba and create one role for that group in postgres, all users in DBA group should access postgres services

is replication works on all data bases or it work only on "autodb" in your case ?

Does this work for usergroups too? What about database user permissions? Do I necessarily need to apply the grants or give createdb, createrole, etc permissions necessarily in postgres? Isn't there a way to do everything on the Windows LDAP server? Imagine if I have several postgres servers with the same users, I would have to go one by one and create them, isn't there a more practical way?

the point was to not use the password in the linux server. Kills the point if u have to type it. Might as well just create the user right in postgres

Nice article sir, so basically you need three servers if you are using kerberos us you authentication mechinisim ? I will try it out on my test servers and see if it works for me. Can all this be done on only one server instead of three servers ?
