@@christiangt5550 this was my first play through on the best settings. I always had to play it on its lowest settings for it to run some what smoothly.

No way I had to double check that it's actually you. I saw here and there a bug in the Allied campaign but it didn't bother me as the maps are awesome. I hope Petroglyph Games reach out to you when they Remake Red Alert 2. I never though I could re experience Red Alert 2 for the first time but thanks to you I could. Thank you my good sir.

@@NoobLitts Ya, I will watch peoples play-through videos, quite often I will try to do things about exploits I see. There are still more thing for me to do/fix, so who knows maybe I will release more updates in time. LOL, but your play-through videos almost kind of frustrate me... Speed runs always are frustrating to watch, as allot of these maps do take a long time to make. But oh well, there are quite a few play-through videos. I think this is the 1st speed run, so it interesting to see some try that approach, not sure there is to much I can do to prevent it... Right now, I have started to tinker with the possibility of doing the Yuri campaigns, but its still to soon to confirm. I dont think Petroglyph will re-do/remaster Ra2, I kind of wish they would, but I dont think they have a reason to do that. They had a reason for Dawn and RA, but I am not sure there is enough for RA2 or TS.

@maxmcgrath4672 it was not my intention to Speedrun the maps and I think you did a splendid job to make the missions longer. I play the missions twice. The first attempt I play to see the whole map and enjoy all the surprises, with the second attempt it's usually to keep the video under 20 min so people watch the videos. Longer videos just simply get less views. I also think that for those who want to play the mod for themselves they too can enjoy a couple of your surprises that I didn't show in the videos. Your work on the City of Lights Mission was phenomenal. The way you gave Crazy Ivan a purpose in Red Alert 2 had me in awe. I was looking so hard for a bus to transport Tesla troopers or even conscripts in but you were one step a head of me. Once I am done with this mod I will definitely check out more of your mods. I recently started modding games and I rather enjoy the process. I will keep a lookout for the Yuri's Revenge Mod. I think with time EA will give the go ahead for RA2 and Tiberium Sun remaster. It's sad that they closed Westwood studios.

When I was younger I always preferred the Allied cast but now that I have matured it will have to be the Soviets all the way. The Allies kinda felt a bit more light hearted and there is nothing wrong with it but I am enjoying the seriousness and drama of the Soviets more. I also love how Dasha grows from a reserved information officer to basically the no nonsense second in command by the end of Red Alert 3 Uprising. Don't get me started On this comparison. It's an impossible decision to make for me. 😅

@@NoobLitts Haha 😄interesting.. I don't see Dasha's appeal as of yet, but it sounds like I need to play Uprising.. Interesting to hear about her character development. It's been a bit hard for me to maintain an interest in RA3, but perhaps I should try the Soviet campaign in Uprising.

@@thelastsidewalk I highly recommend you finish Red Alert 3 before play Uprising. Uprising is about 1/3 of the length but they introduce new units which makes things interesting. How come your interest fades when playing RA3?

​@@NoobLitts Thanks for that. I have finished RA3, but only on the Soviet campaign. Should I try and push myself to do the other campaigns? Why don't I like RA3 as much..? Hmm.. I think part of it is there was so much extra complexity that I (personally) found to be labouring rather than fun. For example - it seemed like each faction had a different way to build bases, and all the units having a secondary function. In RA2, it was still zany but they at least pretended to take things seriously. But RA3 just seems over the top ludicrous to me. All the different unit designs are just such a departure from RA2 and RA1. In all C&C's, I find myself spending the most time in Skirmish play. And the lack of options to choose from (as well as a max of 6 teams) was a bit of a bummer. I didn't mind the mission formats where you had an ally each time. That was kinda neat. Seems like that's changed in Uprising though?

@@NoobLitts You bet! Dojo rushes are the go to strategy for completing challenges quick. I think I have seen people complete this particular challenge in less than 2 using this tactic. You can consider it for the other challenges, but I found your different take refreshing too.

For some reason I have it in my head that Yuri is loosely based on Grigori Rasputin which kinda foreshadows his betrayal. For me crazy Ivan never really had a purpose or function and I think the only time ever where I used crazy Ivan and though he was a good addition was in the Soviets Modded Campaign when you take over the Eiffel tower. The person who designed that mission did a phenomenal job to incorporate crazy Ivan into the mission The original game you never had any Allies and if you did they would usually be eliminated in the first 30 seconds. I think this mod takes inspiration from Red Alert 3. Koodos to the mod designer. I want to check out some of his other work sometime soon.

Not just that but even with you ally you get these alerts. At a stage I wanted to turn the sound off😅

That's a very good point. How many times do you thump the spacebar to view your base and can't find any enemy forces anywhere..

@@thelastsidewalk too many time for me to care to count. Playing this mod makes me itch for a Red Alert 4 or a 2 remaster with different missions. When replaying the old missions it's still fun but gets to easy. 😅

It wasn't my first attempt. My other attempts were roughly 40 min and I wasn't happy about it so I decided I am just going to rush as much as possible so that's why I knew when or roughly how far into the game he will appear. You can usually hear his famous line "The mind is quicker than the eye" then he will appear a few seconds later. The dogs were such a headache in the beginning but nothing a dozen conscripts or Tesla troopers cannot handle. I should've made a video where I just show all the dumb, ridiculous and ambitious attempts to cheese the map. 😅

@@pencilpauli9442 I felt the same. Hahaha but keep in mind by this time Westwood studios had been closed and the game was made by EA. I did play it on easy maybe if you play it on hard it might be more exciting? Any recommendations on what to play next?

Thank you. I have noticed they are good for exploring, not bad for a skirmish but terrible when selecting multiple buildings as they won't destroy units and only focus on the buildings. Red Alert 2 is GOATed for me. The story, gameplay and cutscenes were so well matched it always takes me back to my carefree days when I play it. Now that you mention it I only now see Yuri being surprised when Vladimir mentions him.

@@thelastsidewalk thank you. I never thought I would use conscripts only to "Speedrun" a Mission. I love Yuri as a villain. I think they set a way point for the remaining troops to make it a tad easier. Looking for single units can be tedious if they stand still.

My first attempt was so close I had no troops left when the beacon went off. I was kinda sad the recording got corrupted. My nerves were shot by the end.

Thank you. In my first run I only took 2 engineers and lost a tower because of all the tanks and rocketeers. Kinda whish my first run's recording did not get ruined. I was on the edge of my seat till the very end. Had like 5 seconds left when they started attacking the beacon and I had no defences left. Longest 5 seconds of the 2024 for me😅

We can only hope they do a Red Alert 2 Remake and it sells so well they remake Red Alert 3 and hopefully give us two extra campaigns for Tanya and Natasha like they did with Yuriko.

I grew up playing tactical games so this running like a lunatic with 360 no scopes, quickscopes, omni movement, dying every 15 seconds... Style of game is a bit shocking. It's fun but I played SOCOM, Ghost Recon, Syphon Filter, Metal Gear Solid... In my younger years which has a much different approach than CoD. I played a ton of Cod zombies which is also very different and doesn't help much when switching to multiplayer 😂

Time flies. What's even scarier for me is that it is now 1 year since the first Red Alert video in the channel. She doesn't appear in the last mission unfortunately. Zofia will make an appearance soon though.

@@gbagaskoro2 My exact expectation and reaction. The mod also loves to give the AI MCVs when you destroy the construction yard for some reason.

@@pencilpauli9442 It is what it is unfortunately. I think the mod randomly spawns reinforcements or at least I know for a fact MCVs where the base game doesn't. Awesome mod can't wait to start with the Soviet campaign.
