Delamaris Mackerel Weekend with Vegetables in Tomato Sauce #sardines #food #sardinesrecipe
As recommended by @Lazy_Tim , John reviews Delamaris Mackerel Weekend with Vegetables in Tomato Sauce on Sunday - a weekend day. Delmaris is a product of Slovenia and in business since 1879. The mackerel came in pieces instead of whole fish. The texture of the mackerel was firm enough however a bit chewy. The sauce had enough salt and moderately thick.
John wouldn't mind having them again.
Thanks again to @Lazy_Tim for suggesting John try other flavours within the Delamaris range.

As a special treat including himself, John reviews John West Mackerel Fillets in Sriracha Sauce. John describes the mackerel to be slightly chewy but puts this texture down to the type of fish. For his pallet, John found the heat from the Sriracha sauce adequate, which partnered well with the salt. Overall, John was very surprised by the product and would definitely be having them again.

Michelle reviews Coles home brand Wild Tides with Spicy Chilli. The product contains 2.5% chilli, which matches John West Chilli in Oil. This entry level tinned tuna product doesn't match the quality of John West or Serina, but it's good enough.

Michelle reviews John West Tuna with Fiery Chilli. This product contains a whopping 4.5% chilli, which is the most per tin she has seen over the last few years. Even more than Serena triple chilli at 3.1%. As expected by the John West brand, the tuna was relatively soft and flavoursome.

John reviews Pan Do Mar Sardines in Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil. The sardines are from Spain and the company has been going since 1892. The package includes the standard ring pull top and cardboard box. There is a silvery colour to the sardines with 4 in the tin. John identifies a chewy texture to the sardines with an aftertaste he's not used to. The flavour is unusual and hard to describe, ...

However based on her review, the product contained little heat, however it complimented the s...

John reviews John West Scottish Sardines in Rosemary and Sea Salt. After an unfortunate accident, John was able to continue with his review. Much to his pleasure, John treated himself to using his green plastic spoon at home, when he normally reserves it for picnics in the countryside. As with most John West products, the sardines come in a handy ring pulled tin and cardboard packet for putting...

John reviews Delmaris branded mackerel fish with vegetables in tomato sauce, which he believes are best served alongside rice. As a product of Slavonia, the fish comes in a tin with a handy pull ring. Surprisingly the sauce is lighter in colour, however this is likely due to the vegetables. John reports the flavour of the fish is nice, however still a little chewy.

Having a cold, John reviews John West Tuna in Lemon and Cracked Pepper. This review of John West Tuna is a treat, as John compares the tuna to the abundance of sardine products he has previously reviewed. John notices the chewiness of the tuna in comparison to the sardines, however he hopes the lemon will help to relieve his cold and get back to normal health again soon.

John reviews Pams Sardines in Tomato Sauce. They were bought in New Zealand, however are packed in Latvia. The handy ring pull did break on opening, however using a fork to push the lid open wasn't a problem. Perhaps a knife would also do the job. Check out John's video for his opinion on taste, quality of sardines and packaging.

I was to scared to try this because i thought it was gona be too spicey
Is a pity they've got MSG in them. I actually quite like these. They have a smaller can which is a really good size. Cheap too. Good channel. Subscribed 👍
Thnx for the vid
John, rather than tearing up and macerating the sardines with a knife, check out the, "fork", or better, chopsticks...
I only buy them when on half price special. The triple chili is far better, sweet and more flavor. It is Coles brand.
Have you tried Connétable sardines from France? Is it available in your country?
G'day HenryToped. Looks like Connétable will only ship to the USA. I'll check out Amazon. Sounds like they are worth trying.
@@sardinefishreview9970 Yeah Connétable is a reputable brand and oldest sardine cannery in the world. You'd be glad if you could keep an eye out for these and have a bite. Sardines in bio/organic EVOO Sardines au piment de Cayenne Mackerel in dijon mustard Natural cod liver with lemon/or smoked 😋👍
Love the review man! If you'd be willing to make some slightly longer content around sardines I'd love to hear about how you started eating canned fish!
G'day Pretentiousfly. I'll try and make some of the newer videos with more content. Great idea. Appreciate your subscription to the channel
I find that Serina is always cunks and Woolworths is sometimes chunks
Thanks for your comment Kwunt-13q. I believe you're right, and the viewers out there will appreciate your experience.
I love these! Buy them from Henrys. Try the other varieties. Just as good.
Thanks for the tip!
@@sardinefishreview9970 I'm sure we could have a beer to together. Enjoy that fish mte.
Wtf is this.. a waste of time!
Whole lot better than Jones town Flavor Aid
mmmmmm chewy fish
Show us how you take them out of the can!
Could you put some on a plate so we can see what they look like? I’ve never seen this brand before!
Thanks for your request Scott. I will get another tin and show the sardines.
Making me hungry!
I have been eating john west for years until about a month ago I tried the sirens. I will never buy another john west
Thanks, just ordered a couple of sirena and cant wait to try them
I Googled reviews of these sardines because someone gave me a tin and I loved them so much I wanted to know how much they cost. I'm very happy to learn that they only cost about 80 cents!
What is the manufacturing date and expired date?
Slop it on a plate. What ate we eating
John West is terrible, also Siren is an Australian owned company.
Very good point about Sirena being an Australian brand.
Cheap sardines are really bad. Spend a little more and buy a better quality. King oscar is a great brand and doesn't cost a lot
I agree douglas2632. If you can spend the extra money for quality, the experience will be a lot better.
Where'd you buy these from John? I can only seem to find them online. Cheers.
Hi Tim, thanks for your question mate. My daughter imported these sardines to Australia via Amazon. She's gotten a few different brands from there actually. Perhaps give them a try. Goodluck
@@sardinefishreview9970 Cheers mate. I've ordered a few from Amazon in the past will check them out again. Have a good one!
give the cat her portion 😁
Loved this, I have bought sweet chilli fromm this brand and it is not sweet. very chilli and also has a whole chilli in it.
bootstingsendog that's great to hear about the full chilli!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS YOU SAVED ME LOTS OF MONEY <3
Geez your a harsh critic. 😉 The triple chilli is my favorite tuna!
I tried :)
Love Serina tuna it's just so expensive unless on special. Try the Serena Triple Chilli if you like a bit more heat.
Sirena is worth the extra money. It's superior in every way except cost. Try the triple chilli or the chilli and garlic flavour(my favourite).
Hell yeah
Got a tin waiting for me in the cupboard.
I'm not really keen on any sardines that come from the Philippines John. Low tear fish I reckon.
I don’t mind the Oceanrise sardines. Not quite as good as the John West variety but much cheaper. What I found is the Aldi brand sardines are really stiff/hard whereas the John West ones are still flexible and softer. I’ll try the King Oscar’s based on your review.
Well bugger I just bought 3 tins of Ocean Rise yesterday (yet to try them) mainly for price. King Oscar are my got to and John West are fine too.
Cheers for the review mate. Hope you had a great xmas new years.

I got two tins today, one kipper and one sardine, i wish ididnt eat them both i a row, i could use one now.
I almost got a package of those today but i tried Chicken of the Sea.
Those look good. The tin reminds me a bit of a Mexican brand of macrel in tomato, but those mexican macrel were so big it was about one fish per can.
Looks trash thanks for reviewing will stay far away 😂
