We are a small farm in Prichard WV. We raise vegetables every year along with 10 acres of sweet corn. We raise Hogs and Chickens to. We have been producing videos for kids in schools to learn about agriculture. As early spring rounds the corner we will have many different videos from plowing, discin , tilling and planting. My wife Tab nephews Tanner and Farmer Finn myself do most of the work. Stay tuned and thanks for watching

I heard you said in some video about putting your pumpkin in the pumpkin house. Is that a cooler or just under a shelter?

Excellent condition pigs ready to process
Great video quatlity

I'm in SC, and have nice black soil bottom land.I have grown just about everything successfully, except pumpkins. I've tried about 3 times, they will look great sometimes small pumpkins, and then dead. Just down the road my grandmother who was mostly Cherokee, rented a dilapidated old house and I remember years ago, she had pumpkins, that place has since fallen down, it was only about half a mile from my place. I just planted some eating type pumpkins musquee de provence, for fall crop, I remembered my grandmother's pumpkins were ready in the fall. Maybe I will have better success this time planting late.
@@Thoreau-e4l try seed from outstanding seed company tell Jamie Hoffman I sent ya great guy and knows his stuff has great seeds.
@@jasonekersrockyknobfarm6507 that might work for next year but too late for this season, hopefully they will do something.

@@jasonekersrockyknobfarm6507 thanks
May you have a bountiful crop of pumpkins again this year. It is fun seeing the process from when you grow and harvest them, to the pumpkins ending up carved and displayed at the pumpkin house.
I sprayed some clethodim 2EC on some and it seemed to work good on the grass. What you were spraying did it target weeds or grass or both?

Thank you for farming.
Nothing like fresh sweet corn.
Everything is looking so colorful and beautiful. I'm esp. fond of zucchini, yellow squash, and green beans. And my dad really likes tomatoes and beets.
What date do you want to plant pumpkins by? Target harvest just before Halloween?
June 10-15

Good luck and happy planting. Hope the deer leave your pumpkins alone this year. Those are so nice looking green beans.
Thank you Beth
What to do about spraying bugs?âĶ do it by hand?
We donât spray corn at all!
Do you fertilize the pumpkins? How do you treat for powdery mildew?
Yes we use pumpkin juice and pre fertilize before we plant ! We use several sprays for afids along with powdery and downy mildew Iâll do a video on what we spray pumpkins with soon! Thanks for watching
Not surprising that Tab's hard work, dedication and green thumb have created such a beautiful high tunnel crop again this year with the help of you, Tanner and the rest of the family.
Wow everything looks great!
Thanks !!!
I like Ford tractors and have looked at a few 309's, most are pretty pricy. For what I do my IH 4 row planter is very capable, hard to just change for the sake of change.. I also have a bucket full of different plates for it too.
Hi, praise the LORD. I live in Buffalo NY. I'm learning a lot by watching what you are doing. My desire is, if could visit you in person. Could you give me that chance?
Can't wait to witness the growth ð
Thanks for watching !
Still here. Looking forward to a great growing year. We, up in Canada, r just getting ready to start planting our veggies. Hopefully the weather starts to smarten up, and gives us the nice temps now. I think the snow is out of mother nature's system now. Goodn luck this year
Thanks for watching hope the same for you friend
Happy planting. May the yield be very fruitful by harvest time.ð Fun seeing the parade. And the T-ball team in their uniforms are adorable.
Whats your choice variety of tomatoes?
Growing in the field scarlet red ! To raise in the high tunnel German pink Mr stripey !! Thanks for watching

Do you have a soybean plate or something similar for Ready Roundup corn?
What type of fertilizer are you using
We normally use 19-19-19
The plastic has it looking like rows of an ice skating rink. Hope it works well for you. Such an adorable little helper. And she looked like she was having fun. Hope Tanner and all of you are doing well.
Farmer Finnâs lil sis !!
I'm using the same plastic layer and a 4 row planter. I use 1 row and make 2 passes 20-24 inches apart.
Great advice, great work

What price range are those mills in? I been searching everywhere for a hammer mill...no luck.
$4400 no wheels 3 point. $4800 with wheels Nick was my salesman Logan Utah Ellis Equipment. Love it!
Great idea
Looking good brother
I think heating the can on a pole with the torch to help make the holes is a brilliant idea. It saves time in the process, and as the saying goes, "work smarter, not harder". Wonderful seeing all that green you have there. It is snowing here again in NY. Good luck and happy planting.
Kallstrom Sweet Corn here , As your applying your fert. i see your not covering it with dirt , you need to throw more dirt to cover your fert. It would be nice to have a closer look at your motor and off/on switch that operates your fert. boxes
We changed it since video was made but we do it before rain . They are manual on off
Doing a great job I use a fruit picking bag when pulling corn you might want to try it it frees up both hands good luck
Looking forward to seeing all the new plantings thrive. Hope the deer leave your crops alone this season.
I've already seen a robin and my daffodils are starting to pop out of the ground. I'm so looking forward to Spring. It will be fun seeing your greenhouse, high tunnel and fields with new plantings and growth over the coming months. Thank you for sharing.
Good hearing from you Beth
I hace a tractor like that i stretched it out and made it to where you can do 3 rows @ the same time
Home made welded spacers prettt much
Pig worms can live a long time in the soil. You need a really long grazing rotation to fix that, preferably intergrazing with other animals that pig worms can't infect.
My biggest concern before I drop the hammer on one...can you get parts easily? Thanks for the review.
Actually yes my buddy has one to he didnt notice bolt loosened up heclost something small I canât remember now what it was but he called them up they sent him it within two weeks
