Camping along the East Fork of the San Gabriel River

I backpacked along the beautiful East Fork of the San Gabriel River. First hiking to the Bridge to Nowhere to relax and then found a camping spot after.

    Was dropping your phone in a bad omen? who knows! But being out in the wilderness with only 1 phone I guess would be considered one. Good thing you have a partner! Also, what kinds of interesting rock finds did you see while on your trek? Hopefully you both had not just a fun time but also a chance to connect to the nature spirits! Let me know! Edit: what was that you were looking at right before finding the rat 🐀?

    • @SnailTrailAdventures
      @SnailTrailAdventures 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The bad omen was reference to the dead rat. And that rock structure was an old fireplace. I believe a miner fireplace from way back in the day. There’s a handful of structure through the area. Lots of history in the area.

    Those unnatural people dams you see in the video are bad for the rivers ecology. When the weather warms and the water slows down, The Water will warm up and stress the trout and make it difficult for them to survive in warm water. The water may even stagnate and affect the oxygen level of the river. Only God and mother nature should mold the environment not people in their ignorance.

      @@SnailTrailAdventures Hey! No it's in Duarte! I just googled it...the trail is closed now but should reopen after fire season goes bye bye! Fish Canyon waterfall is a 3 tier fall with a nice swimming hole at the bottom! Back in the day it was a very dangerous hike...there were places where the trail was only 4-5 inches wide with a 150 foot drop down! You had to lean against the hillside to cross the 100 feet! I've heard they fixed that...check it out next month should be open in October! Be safe and have fun! Eric Underwood Class of 81 Downey High school CA ✌️
