It happened to me too. I think it is just a glitch, so what I did, I kept on trying it many times till it shows ready to submit. I know it is kinda annoying because you have to input details again. So I suggest, just keep a note of those details that you have to input again so it will be easy on your side. Just keep on trying untill it will show ready to submit.

Looks like pr card renewal applications with name change are taking a lot of time. You can try calling IRCC and they will provide you Application Number that you can use to link your application in IRCC online account to track the progress.

@@devops-engineer Thank you for the reply .. I have tried calling IRCC but they don’t connect my call to any agent to speak with .

@@usharani-lj3rw You have to keep trying until they connect your call to agent. For me, it took 4-5 attempts. What does your online pr portal status say ?

@@devops-engineer it states ‘submitted’ but I can’t view it as the view button is still grey. I tried calling today too but they ask for application number which they haven’t provided yet ..I tried putting my previous application number assigned to my PR application but that doesn’t work .

To my utter surprise I got my pr card in the mail today with surname changed ! Thank you so much for replying to my messages and helping me 👍

Hi, for this one, I didn’t get any confirmation. You can’t even checked the portal of what you have submitted. But you can link your application to your gckey using your UCI and your personal details

Hi there. I suggest that you call them and asked about the status of his application. They can tell you if they already send it to your old address before. Then if yes, let them know that you already moved in a new address and ask for what you have to do if it was already mailed to your old address. You should have called or emailed them before about your new address so they can change it in their record and send it to your new address.

Hello! You can use that marriage certificate but I used the long form from here since we got married here in Canada. Also you can use your passport with your husband’s last name since that is what they require as you are changing your last name in your PR Card. Then for the letter of explanation I just mentioned my situation that I wanted to have my last name on my PR card to my married name as I still have my single name on my PR card since we applied for a PR card when my old passport was still on my maiden name

For my brother and my mother, own gckey account po nila ang gamit. You can apply for them if you will act as their representative. May additional forms po if you will do it for them. Just follow the steps po and answer the questions based on your situation like someone (you) will apply on their behalf and etc. As mentioned sa video na need na own gckaey account po nung applicant ang gagamitin

It also happened to my application before. I completed the IMM5644 but once I am about to send it shows initiated and not ready to submit. What I did, I kept on trying it many times until it shows ready to submit. I know it is frustrating to do it again but I think there’s a problem with that portal sometimes. I have read people with the same problem too that’s why I kept on trying until it shows ready to submit.

I will again. All the form been ready to submit. Only that form 5644 in progress. If not work, how can i do?? And then my kid renew pr too, so i need do other form for my kid or same my application.

Yes! It’s frustrating, I know. In my case that’s what happened too but it works in the end after many tries and successfully renewed my PR card

Glad this video helps! I made this one because I myself was looking for this information before but can’t find one so I did my own thing and got my new PR card with my married name. For the supporting legal document, I provided scanned ID’s like my health card that is already in my married name together with my passport since I am changing my name on my PR card due to marriage.

did your health card was having given name and last name same as your new passport or health card has whole name under last name because in my case my whole name is under last name on health card while on new passport my first name and last name is separate so what should I do please tell me.

But based on the situation, your brother is already a permanent resident in Canada, he can provide the letter of invitation for your mom and if he has no job by that time, he can still invite your mom as long as they both can provide proof of means of financial support during your mom’s whole stay in Canada.

Also, another question is, do i have to do all this in one go , or can it be done other days too ( only asking this because we add today's date in imm 5444 application)

Hello there! Yes, you can put that as your purpose of travel to travel graduation of your niece/nephew. Make sure that you have the documents to support that reason of visit.

You can leave and return Canada as long as your visa is still valid. If it is on multiple entry and not single then you can use it in cominh back to Canada. Your Study Permit is not your visa but they might also ask you to show it to see your purpose of coming back in Canada.

If it is already printed in the PSA paper just like the paper we received if we requested for Birth Certificate or CENOMAR then that’s already our Marriage Certificate since we got married outside the Philippines. But if it is still in the same paper or form which is the ROM in white paper then it is just your copy of your ROM to the consulate/embassy. That means they already submitted your report of birth to the Philippines.

You can add more documents to support your application po sa client info
