O my g gosh! How totally fun! Did you two already know each other? Or did you just figure out that you're both in Hawaii and that you could get it together? I'm so jelly! Haha! To have a friend that does tarot and that you can meet up with on the Hawaiian Island! Epic! Wonderful decks ladies! You both have really nice collections. This just reminded me, there is a newer reprint of the Thoth by AGM from 2008. It was done after they took the backings off the watercolor paintings and it was photographed in really good light. I think it is mostly in German though. The Triton is the Pū puhi.

Im comparing the Curious Travels deck with the El goliath deck for the dropm78 challenge..I cant believe how much i love Curious Travels..it reads beautifully. Sleepy hollow is a really nice deck too.. Lucky you staying next to such a beautiful beach .. its been snowing here lol. ❤

What a box of happies! I'm definitely a slower buyer as well - mostly because my budget is limited but also because I try to keep the influx of decks low so that I can get one-on-one time with each. 😊 Enjoy your new goodies!

I agree. I am more apt to grab something that is an indie deck rather than mass market first because I never know with an indie, but mass market there is always usually time to wait on them. I love that you were able to get a lot of decks that you didn't have and also have them while you are in Hawaii. I love seeing people unbox their happy mail, your happiness makes me happy. We recently visited a nature sanctuary who had created a story walkthrough, acting out the Legend of Sleepy Hollow using scarecrows and pumpkins and some props. It was awesome! They had excerpts from the story. I went home and grabbed that deck!

These are some awesome decks you received. When decks first come out they are sometimes really hyped up and I just don't want to use them at that time. It is great to wait and get them used at a discount, great strategy. This video made me realize I need to go through my collection and decide what I really want to keep. I don't need more decks, but I want to leave some space in my collection in case I see something great. Time to let my declutter be somebody's unboxing.

Even for kickstarters, sometimes it’s a good idea to wait. Any creator that has a bit of business acumen will have more to sell once the campaign is over. Recently, I’ve come across several announcements of indie decks going mass market next year. One of them is highly sought after and selling for hundreds of $ on the secondhand market.

I am always the last person to have a deck, I feel….lol. This is more due to me trying to regulate myself and control spending. It’s work I am doing on myself and in more areas than tarot. I also do not focus much on unboxing and reviewing or sharing new decks. I can see those who devote their platforms to this, will need to be knowledgeable about the newest offerings. I’ve realized that collecting isn’t for me because clutter and over consumption gives me anxiety. I always appreciate people talking about ideas and hot topics within our community. It helps me to understand how it all relates to me and not measure myself against others. ❤

I love the community gardens, I used to run that path. The cactuses are so big now. I love sitting at the beach there, just reading my books, so nice. Such a fun video. Love so many of those places, and sad that they are succumbing to big business as time goes on. The medical care is so bad. It is weird so many older people move to Hawaii, it is so far from good medical care and when something goes wrong outcomes are so so much worse. Crazy how expensive it has gotten to live on the island. Sorry about your son Tami. Glad you have a sacred space to go visit. The first edition is such a special deck!! Ohh, the Coqui's.... I got my favorite decks from HoneyLou; she sent me two micro-trimmed Thoth decks, one is a trimmed Greenie and the other is a trimmed '96 edition Thoth...I have other decks but my HoneyLou decks are far and wide my favorites because she trimmed them PERFECTLY and they are Thoth! I have the Alchemical Tarot and want to ask you if you got that huge book that goes with the cards? If so, what do you think of his take on the meanings of some of them? Example: the Four of Cups.

Really enjoyed your thoughts on your collection. I gave the Raziel and the Vampire decks to my godson on two separate occasions. The ongoing impact they've had on him made me very glad I made that choice. Have been repurposing the Angel deck in various art journal projects. His Alchemical deck deep dive concluded last Saturday. The handouts included a PDF for a journal that I am going to expand upon over the fall and winter seasons, so I can include all the alchemical info/insights I was taught back in my mid and late teens, as well as some relevant artwork.
