Great video, You said you are rusty, I think your roll casts look just fine. What wt. rod and flys are you using. My wife and I fish (chuck & duck) for salmon on the PM. What a great river. For those of you not use to fishing Mich. come fish the Pere Marquete. Stop in a fly shop in town, they will tell you where to fish, but truly anywhere from the M37 bridge to Wallhalla is good fishing. (I haven't fished west of there) I have been fishing for over 60 years and everybody flosses or foul hooks a fish sometimes. (better to floss your teeth) So for those who whine about flossing fish I say "get a life". Get out there and enjoy mother nature at her best. And don't just stop at the PM enjoy our other fisheries. Small mouth on the Kalamazoo, to the "Holy Waters" (the AuSabel) to "God's country" the UP. And so many many more. Thanks for the video I'm soooo.... jealous.

How about hanging up a large calendar and pin board which is practical as an office? That way you don’t have to stress over finding art for the wall.

I would use dark paint on the walls, it would tighten all together nicely. Good job!

Such a great start. You need larger art for the larger area in the bookcase. You can also hang it up in the bookcase, instead of leaning. Bookcases take forever. I think paint & a rug will pull it together eventually. Very cool.

It turned out very beautiful!! Just sitting on a bed with art in a hight where you might want to put shoulders or head is the most uninviting thing ever. My recommendation to find other solutions for the feeling of needing decoration: painting the wall itself, a high shelf with some art on it....but no art in this hight. Had a lot of uncompfy visits in such a scenario.

Bolsters would be good to creat a daybed look and feel.

You did such a good job. Im so a different generation than you are but I'm also really into the dark academia, "Practical Magic", whimsical and witchy type vibe right now. I'm 50 and I really thought I had my style nailed down the past few years with the neutrals but the trends start changing and here I go again. I guess we never stop changing... Lol. Anyways I'm loving where you've taken this and your so young to understand that rushing what you want isn't what you need to do. Stylistically or financially! I still need someone to remind me of that sometimes.

It's cute and a good start. The turquoise fan and typewriter are more 60s looking so keep looking for older versions of those. Look for a darker floral duvet cover with a really dark background not white. Remember you can also pin up a sheet or duvet to the wall to experiment with a darker wall look. Ultimately paint or wallpaper eventually or a board and batten paneling.

Have you thought about throwing a big sheet/blanket over the bed BEFORE you put the mattress on? This way it could look way cozier and you would not see the black metal :) Loooove the desk and the room! Great work!

I wish you would lean even more into the whole dark academia-thing. Dont be afraid using dark colors on the wall or doing that whole gallery wall. More is more is definitly the way to go if you're into dark academia!
