I've been watching and rewatching many angles and analyzing pictures to this accident and thanks to what seems to be actual telemetry data (watch?v=wvHuFYerpxA&t=63s) I'm certain that nearly everyone you see inside this specific frame at 1:59 perished that very day. If you look closely, you'll notice a straight slightly downwards tilted line emerging from the top left of the picture behind those flags. Together with the trajectory of the jet and the large paved ground the cameraman is standing ontop, I'm absolutely confident these pictures were captured infront of the stationary Il-76, as we see the leading outer edge of its left wing behind those flags. People always mention this plane as it was struck at the nose by the Suchoi, while what actually contributed to the catastrophe was in my opinion the other parked plane that initiated the left-turning spin of the ill fated jet. In the last moments of this shot we see how the Su-27 breaks through the vertical stabilizer of what I think is a MiG-21 painted in camo green. The left wing of the Suchoi shreds through the rest of the standing fighter and the plane starts pivoting around its center of mass heavily to the left side. The now leading right wing and right elevator trap enough air underneath them that they start lifting that side of the jet back into the air. I'm sure that at this point it struck the nose of the Il-76 with its left elevator further turning the plane into the position we see it in at 2:33, where the nose cuts through the ground like a gigantic dagger. The plane gets elevated into the air and starts disintegrating mainly outside of the populated areas. But this very stretch between the MiG-21 and the Il-76 is where most people simply got spliced or crushed by the jet. And it dawned on me, that the marks you see underneath the plane on the pictures as it turns upright MUST, to some extend, be the leftovers of those poor spectators. EXTRA: I found the remainder of the video that starts at 0:21 and compared that tree-line seen in the background. The cameraman rushes to the scene infront of the Il-76 and looks into the same direction as the clip above. It's a perfect match. If you do not want to see mutilated corpses scattered around, I advise you to simply believe my words.
