Dale Murphy story - West Palm Beach. Spring Training against the Expos. It was at least a 5 club wind (golf metric) coming in from left field. Murphy hits an absolute rocket over the fence. Braves won 1 - 0. I've never seen a ball hit so hard..
The greatest play in Baseball history, someone caught a ball and threw it to where he was supposed to! Wow, let me calm down before I watch that again!
The greatest play in the history of baseball and there is NO decent film of the play anywhere. I've looked and looked and they missed it-- they just plain missed it.
That's exactly one of the 3 similar steps/techniques I was taught as well. It was at a baswball camp i attended while in middle school. It improved my hitting immensely and I can hit pro batting.pracrice to this day.
I was taught line up your knuckles. 2nd digits from the top. They do that so that you can also go shoulder to shoulder with your chin. Keep your head down to look at your strike zone while swinging.. I also had a habit of "crossing" the plate. I would tap the outside of my bat across from me , then tapped close to me and then the front/top of the plate, then the back.... It looked somewhat religious in nature, which is fine, though I'm not extremely devout nor identify as such; my main reason was to establish distance and to make sure I can reach all edges of the plate and my strike zone. Just a goofy tip that helped me.
As a Raider fan I was devastated when he got injured playing the Bengals. It was not just him possibly giving us the opportunity to go to the Super Bowl it was watching such an amazing athlete. It all ended for him that day.
Great game

Same with the golf swing
I'll never get this stupid game, american cricket...
her not being mad about it just makes it even sadder that she didn't get it lol
but coach i’m trying to hit a home run, not throw my baseball bat
Good to get that top hand action when ya can..
It looked like, if that first baseman, hadn't caught it, it might, still, be going...
Craig Nettles...best left handed 3rd baseman when gunning down 1st base runners
you dont see videos like this anymore everyone wants you to pay for their clinics.
Except some dude voiced over this entire demonstration.
Man on 3rd?
Something about baseball players standing in close proximity to each other swinging baseball bats disturbs my calm
growing up a Phillies fan in the early 80s, I always knew that we had the best player on the field any night
Why does Mike Schmidt sound like he has a bit of a southern accent when he's originally from Ohio?
That voice sounds so familiar. 😂
Nope
Go back to the way baseball was ! This pitch clock is STUPID !
Michael Jack!!!
🤣

Whatever you do, don’t show us the play.
Cameras missed the throw
It’s called a continental grip in Tennis. Used for serving.
I just do more steroids to hit farther
Did it curve UP? 🤔 😳
What do these two hacks know? These guys probably never even played baseball. Don’t listen to these guys, kids.
Should be in HF
Mike Schmidt was awesome
90 MPH fastball for sure.

That was a laser
It’s same reason why don’t grip a golf club with your palms.
Those kids are taking that sh*t to the grave for sure. What a day.
Harold was blistering fast as well.
Yeah he was running!
powerful arm for sure.
Coaches are an integral part of player development. You alway remember what your coaches preached.
By far the best athlete I ever saw play professional sports. Bo Jackson.
100%

The bf already knew lol...

Yeah, it's tough
BO KNOWS!
Yeah he does!
If I were to throw a bat my hand would be at the bottom of the bat tho.
Very nice. That look she gave her man when the boy took the ball. So safe and comfortable.
