Vlogging with the Insta360 X3?
We tried vlogging using only a Insta360 X3! It was a fun experiment to see if the camera is viable option for everyday vloggers trying to document their lives in a creative way.
This video was filmed a day before the new Insta360 X4 came out. I'm so excited to try that camera out one day!

    Love this video! Found it while searching for people who use cellular Apple Watches to see if my purchase of the Series 8 cellular is justified for the extra cost. As a Christian, I loved hearing that you read The Bible. I saw your comment to someone saying you may upgrade from the SE. I had the first gen SE GPS only version and it lasted me two years. Then the screen randomly popped off due to the battery expanding. Having said that, Wal-Mart is selling the Series 8 41mm Cellular in silver for $299 brand new which is super rare of a price to find! Compared to the SE 2nd gen cellular which is only $249 brand new. Thought this would help you if you were deciding to upgrade 😊 I don’t use all the features the series 8 comes with (like always on display), but the extra 1mm bump up from my SE 40mm is nice, the fast charging is even better, and there’s a keyboard to text better though a little cumbersome at times. Subscribing to your channel! Sorry this is so long 😅

      I enjoy long comments, haha! I think a cellular version could be really beneficial for me, as I had to carry around my phone with me everywhere for this, and I would love to be able to ditch my phone completely at times to minimize distractions. @@KodyandMeg I meant to ask…Because I don’t think you mentioned it…Was your AppleWatch the first or second gen SE? And what size is it? As a runner and gym goer, I would love nothing more than to not have my phone on me! Especially for running…Wearing an arm band was problematic bc it normally pops off 9 out of 10 times while running. Or having a cellular watch for the gym to not get distracted with social media etc. Talk to text was SO annoying as well on the SE. I hated it! Oh, and I meant to mention that Wal-Mart also has the Series 8 44mm in midnight for $229 😊 I applaud you for dedicating a week to do this video! I too want to bump down my on screen time so I will sacrifice spending a little more for a cellular plan for the convenience and (hopefully) a much healthier life. Looking forward to you the videos!

    Are you using the right ground basket with pre grind coffee? I think your machine comes with pressurized single and double shot baskets as well as non pressurized(when you want to start grinding your own beans). Use the pressurized double shot basket if you are aiming for 14-18grams.

    • @KodyandMeg
      @KodyandMeg 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It does! My first couple times trying to make espresso I did mess up the basket but have since learned from that🫣🫡

  • @IndestructiBill
    @IndestructiBill 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    First thing is first: well done on getting started with a coffee machine. It can be a daunting task to say the least, but the fact you made anything drinkable is honestly a good start. It can be a hell of a hobby, but there is so much to learn. Above all, remember that no matter how bad your espresso tastes sometimes, adding milk and sugar/syrups can make virtually anything "drinkable". If you are anything like me, there are many bad shots coming your way before you get good. I won't even TRY to give you tips on the majority of using the barista express, there are much more qualified people out there who have made amazing videos on steaming milk and dialling in espresso extractions. Some of them use your exact machine to demo their skills, so don't give up hope. There is a plethora of information out there waiting for you to consume. What I will recommend however, are a few side purchases and a few tiny tips. I own the same machine and it's virtually my best friend every morning, however its not a perfect package. From start to finish: - Take the beans out the hopper, and keep them in an airtight coffee bean container. When you want coffee, weigh out the a dosage that is "right" for you in a lil cup and put that into the grinder. You will find more tips on correct dosage in espresso extraction videos. It will serve you much better, and hugely reduce coffee waste. In espresso, consistency is key. Finding the perfect dose and copying it is integral to keeping sanity through all the bad shots. - Buy a dosing funnel. You get them from Amazon super cheap, just search "54mm dosing funnel breville". It screws on to the portafilter and gives it extra headroom to capture all the grounds when they come out the grinder, and more room to stir with the WDT. - (Optional) Consider a 54mm distributor. Metal spiral looking things that you spin atop the portafilter to help even out the grounds. Sometimes it just makes the day more fun. - Buy a new tamper, the one that comes with the machine is slightly too small to make a good tamp. I've used a few 54mm tampers, but I settled on a calibrated tamper from Normcore. They are a bit more expensive, both do a MUCH better job. - I would also hugely recommend a puck screen. Little metal disk that you put on top of the tamped coffee puck, that helps distribute the water into the grounds, getting out more flavour. Plus it keeps the shower screen clean from wet grounds,. Win Win. I know I am sitting here advising you to go spend even more money, which is the last thing you want to hear after just getting something new. I took a few years to slowly upgrade my handful of gizmos, and they were all worth it. As my only real espresso tip, I would advise ignoring the espresso range thing on the dial. All my best extractions have been with the pressure gauge at the farthest side of the range scale, or slightly past it. Oh and buy fresh coffee beans. Good lord get fresh beans. Best advice: Watch videos. Tons of them. There is a wealth of knowledge waiting for you, if this becomes a true hobby. I hope you fall in love with this like I did. Coffee can be so much more than just a cup of bean juice. Good Luck and I hope this journey goes well for you both

    Try going to a local roaster or ordering fresh beans online. HEB beans usually sit on shelves for a longtime. (I use to work there). thats why there's no crema, it's probably already degassed to the the point of being stale. Tap the sides of your portafilter to level out the mound or invest in a dosing funnel to help keep your grounds from overflowing. Most of the time what you through in the grinder you get out so it's normal to have a mound like that. Wdt in small circles while circling the whole bed working from bottom to top, the mound will level itself out. Tamp with some more pressure than that to get an even bed. Keep a scale and a timer on hand to help dial in everything. But most importantly use fresh beans from a good roaster. Buy a espresso blend they have or a medium dark roast as these are more forgiving. Just keep in mind dark roasts degass alot quicker so keep a sealed container away from light to maintain them. Follow Lance Hendrick for all your espresso tips and milk steaming help. Good luck on your journey!

    Couple of comments. One of the thing to take into account when using pre-ground coffee is the portafilter basket. If you use already grounded coffee, you should use the pressurize basket which I believe comes with the Breville. If not, use the normal basket. That also applies if you're doing single shot or double shot. Also try and dial in your coffee. That means trying different settings for the grinder to see which one pulls better. Overall, if you like the coffee you're making, that's always good! Keep at it :)

      @@KodyandMeg Check out Lance Hedrick, he's a great coffee lad. Also invest in good tampers and portafilers those are long term investments.

    *I'm a introvert myself but have been doing TH-cam since it's inception. I can Do videos in my Room No Problem but when it comes to Doing it out in public I just can't seem to or I have a reason to not want to. But I also go too this convention called Vidcon which helps as I'm growing on My Channel but it's a struggle i suppose with one's self, but I guess we all have our ways. Nice Video, we need more videos like this so people can stop focusing on the unnecessary and focus on the necessary*
