I'd say if we read the sermon ourselves like Jonathan Edwards printed off and handed out then it would hit closer to home because It would interacted in our brain as first person sermon. I think it would be a lot like The parables of the Bible which make it easier for us to take our self out of the equation and see what's right overall without our worldly slant of how we believe things are supposed to go...
I have often read that sermon, amazing.. Thank you for this sermon!! We need it!
You guys have some sound teachings from what ive listened to so far! Its encouraging to see good exegetical teachings especially from more local Bodies of Christ. God bless yalls ministry!

Love you guys for posting God's message from Sundays service. I am so grateful for it! I am also grateful for pause and rewind. being able to revisit later, or if not able to attend. It allows me to study, take notes and meditate on His word. Tremendous job! Thank you and bless you! 🙏🏼
Amen
I think one thing that I struggled with in 2023 and that hindered my walk with Jesus is faith. Believing in Him even in the face of defeat and uncertainty. So this year 2024 I am resolved to walk in blind faith with God knowing that He never fails no matter what the situation looks like. The end is always praise. Thank you Pastor for this powerful message that has really blessed me.🙏🏾
Praise God!!

Did you know that Heaven is a free gift from God? Billions of people go to bed every night wondering if they have been “good enough” to go to heaven. There is no need to live in fear and doubt. Jesus taught that you can “know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” There are many passages in the Bible that teach the truth about Heaven being a free gift from God because of what Jesus did for us on the cross, not by our own good works. One of the most clear and important passages is from the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Ephesians: Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Most people think that Heaven is a riddle which can never be solved. This is not true! The Bible is very clear about how you get to Heaven, and how it comes by faith in Jesus Christ, not by trusting in our own good works. We are living in the dispensation of the grace of God, by believing and trusting the gospel of salvation (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) given to our Apostle Paul by Jesus Christ you are saved and sealed with the holy Spirit of promise till the day of redemption!!! Ephesians 1:13 - King James Version 13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Romans 2:16 - King James Version 16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel. (Paul's Gospel - 1 Corinthians chapter 15 verses 1-4). Have a blessed day with insight, wisdom and discernment.
Hello Colossians seems to be another comparison of Adam vs Jesus Old creation can New creation Old creation Adam was the image of God Adam was the firstborn Adam was given authority to rule over the old creation Adam disobeyed - New creation The risen Jesus is the image of God He is the firstborn from the dead He is given all authority Jesus obeyed It’s talking about an authority structure Thrones principalities powers Not “trees birds and mountains” The context is also the RISEN Jesus Not Jesus before his exaltation Jesus can’t be the firstborn from the dead before he died? Also God can’t be the firstborn from the dead, God can’t die -- Jesus is the Messiah The Son of God The Son of David The Son of man The man God has chosen to be his anointed king The man God will judge the world through The man God raised from the dead Jesus will return and rule the nations with believers in the kingdom of God on the earth Jesus has a God There is no triune god in scripture Jesus said the Father is the only true God! John 17 3 And this is eternal life, that they know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent. - Acts 3 13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Servant Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied before the face of Pilate, when he had determined to release him. 14 But ye denied the Holy and Righteous One, and asked for a murderer to be granted unto you, 15 and killed the Prince of life; whom God raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

Can I just say that standing for your marriage when betrayal happens does NOT make you a weak and spineless person. Weak and spineless is running away from it, not dealing with it, not forgiving the other person, and burying your head in a series of relationships to hide from it. It takes courage to go against the norm. It takes courage to stand and fight for what you believe. It takes an incredibly strong person to continue to love someone unconditionally in a relationship after being betrayed by them. No hunny, walking away would have been the easiest thing to do and that would have made you spineless.
Amen, thank you

So great full for Lane and his leadership! He definitely made a huge influence in my life, and helped me grow as a worship leader, and has been a huge blessing to me and so many others! I pray that the Lord will continue to use Lane for His glory, and to continue to lead others to him!

I am Elijah of Malachi and I am also the messenger of malachi. Anyone that rejects or deletes the messages sent from the messenger of Malachi chooses to reject Jesus Christ himself and they will spend eternity in hell with the wicked.
Why are singles not allowed to admit to suffering from long term singleness? These singleness sermons are given with concern and passion but totally ignore the negative consequences of never marrying. I don’t know how I would be able to speak to this pastor face to face if he can’t understand my pain in life? Why does the modern church think it’s ok to try and convince people who will never feel right about being single to stay single longer and longer in life? Is the church pushing singles away from the church? There’s a problem of Christians not getting married not a problem of not staying single.
Hey John! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Pastor Daniel (nor Mid-Cities Church) does not advocate for one position over another. Only that the Scriptures can speak to anyone's circumstances and that both marriage and singleness are both viable options depending on God's call for each individual's life. If you want to talk to one of our pastors about this and how the Scriptures might apply to your specific circumstance or someone you may know, please call our offices at 432.563.9444.
Thanks for the response I appreciate that but I don’t believe some pastors or ministries listen to closely to their own sermons. This is a very common sermon these days and there is no way this isn’t advocating for singleness. The church does not know what to do with people after a certain age that still want to get married and the easy answer is singleness is so good why would you want anything else? I’ll say it again the church has a way of pushing singles away from church.
Thought-provoking and convicting. Thank You.
Good start to ongoing conversations. Something worth pointing out, from a different perspective. Great strides have been in this country via the Church. The brother from Virginia asked "How did we get here?" . We war not against flesh and blood but against spirits and principalities in the heavens. The Bible teaches the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Over the same amount of years since the Civil Rights movements of the 60s began, a marginalizing and minimizing of Christianity, respect for authority and human dignity, and deliberate lack of teaching history has overtaken our society. Martin Luther King's dream was that one day a "man would be judged by the content of his character" and that is what we see both in the video and on the streets where rioting is taking place. The enemies trying to divide and destroy us as Believers and as a nation via deceit are real. The devil knows his time is short so it is important for us to not get sucked in to playing by his rules.
Thank you for helping to demonstrate and parse out what reconciliation can look like. Very meaningful conversation.
Thank you pastor for having this conversation....Carolyn Marzett
