Life, adventure, and running in the mountains!
Running Through Chemo Ep 4: Looking for a healthy balance
I've wrapped on the hardest chemo treatments, and now I'm settling in to 3 more months where the drugs are now weekly but a little less intense. So far I've struggled with how much I can do in the mountains without getting too tired, my priority is recovery and every day my body is on a new journey. Getting up high in the mountains is a great joy for me mentally so I won't give it up, I just have to find the balance!
First we'll climb Snowdon Peak, a 13er with some technical scrambling, then we'll do a loop from my house during the first in-town snowstorm of the season!
If any cancer girlies are watching and are curious about details, I'm on AC-T. The first run in this video was the second week after my fourth and final AC/red devil infusion and the second run was a few days after my first (of twelve) paclitaxel!

มุมมอง 13514 วันที่ผ่านมา
My main project during chemo is, of course, to fight the cancer and make it through, but meanwhile on days that I feel good enough I've been going out of my way to climb new mountains, and it feels so good. Why does it feel so good? It turns out there's a bunch of ways your brain and body supports and rewards you for doing new things! We'll talk about that while we climb a new mountain, a local...

Mountain season is winding down but I'm the most excited about getting up high if I can. We've had some ups and downs so far but I'm feeling pretty good and ready for some thin air! In this video, we'll go on a scenic trail run, the Ouray Via Ferrata, and attempt to climb a 13,600' mountain called Cirque. In episode one I wondered if I'd be able to run through chemotherapy, and I'm super glad t...

Fall in the Rocky Mountains is fleeting, and aspens are spectacular but elusive, you've got to go looking for them if you want to enjoy the fall colors while you can, and that's just what we'll do! In this video, we'll go trail running (hiking when it's steep, I'm on chemo so I'm tired) and sometimes off trail exploring to discover beautiful aspen groves with different mountainous backdrops in ...
Really well made as usual, full of amazing views and inspiration. I also have a lot of trouble reducing pace, so your advice on this was well-received.
❤❤❤😊
This was my favorite of your videos, so far, and that might be partly because scrambling was so new to me.
