Bruised Reed Worship
United Kingdom
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 12 ส.ค. 2009
Welcome to Bruised Reed Worship. My name is David and I like to make Christian worship music content, some Shorts and maybe a message or two.
I enjoy modern Christian worship but also some of the older hymns as they are often filled with rich poetic language and have the Gospel of Jesus Christ at the core.
The name of the channel comes from the Bible, in the book of Isaiah 42:3 & Matthew 12:20, which gives us a picture of the Christ as one who is gracious and tender to the weak and wounded, and of the multitudes following Him and Jesus healing them all.
A bruised reed He will not break,
And smoking flax He will not quench,
Till He sends forth justice to victory;
Matthew 12:20

Be Thou My Vision
This is a very old Irish poem, hymn & prayer that has been sung over many centuries.
A monk named Dallan Forgaill wrote the Irish poem, “Rop tú mo Baile” ("Be Thou my Vision)
It has been translated into many languages, and has all the richness of a song that has endured for well over 1000 years.
1.) Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art;
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.
2.) Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word;
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;
Thou my great Father, and I Thy true son;
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.
3.) Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight;
Be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight;
Thou my soul's Shelter, Thou my high Tow'r:
Raise Thou me heav'nward, O Pow'r of my pow'r.
4.) Riches I heed not, nor man's empty praise,
Thou mine Inheritance, now and always:
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,
High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art.
5.) High King of Heaven, my victory won,
May I reach Heaven's joys, O bright Heav'n's Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.
Bible verse: Hebrews 12:2
Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
