Holy shit 🤣🤣🤣
… i was looking for kiwi simming’s new channel but this isn’t her 😅 wrong channel!!!! Sorry
Hi Kiwi. Thanks for the awesome videos! I saw in the current iteration of the Simulation Mod List you are recommending to avoid ZeeMods. Any particular reason? I'm asking because I bought some of his engine packs in the past and I also saw some new releases that I was considering. I know there has been some discussion regarding bad practices. Is it because of this video: th-cam.com/video/GSBrgV8iJB8/w-d-xo.html Thank you in advance!
Thank you so much for this guide! will be part 2 and 3 anytime soon? this video was really helpfull!
Glad you found it helpful! I am still planning to get the follow up videos finished but some major changes in personal circumstances in the last year or so have significantly disrupted things unfortunately so I don't have any sort of ETA sorry :(
Great video, but how do you use the launch parameters when not playing on steam?
I don't have a non-Steam copy to test with but you can try creating a shortcut and adding the parameters to the 'target' field in the shortcut properties.
Holy moly!
That's superb! are those all custom-made parts, or it's possible to purchase them in shops? (ofc. I mean the hodlers, not the keyboards, and stuff) 👍👌
Thanks! The parts to make the whole assembly are all off-the-shelf or scavenged from accessory/add-on kits from Monstertech, Trak Racer, Sim Labs and 8020 vendors. I did cut the profile pieces to the right length and put it together but no completely custom parts were needed. It went through around 4 or 5 different prototypes before settling on the final result shown here but that's part of the beauty of using 8020 profile - easy to experiment and change when you need to!
Hey I was wondering what the Device you have is that tells you what gear you're in Digitally?
Hi there, sorry for the slow reply! The device is an 'LED Flag', there are quite a few vendors selling them now but the one I bought is linked in the Hardware tab of my modlist modlists.cossakos.com
Thank you for this video Gave a lot of good information. will there be parts 2 & 3 ?? they have some good information that could help a lot... thank you
Thanks, im glad you found it useful! I've been without internet for several months now but parts 2 & 3 haven't been forgotten, just delayed a little more than planned!
Thanks for this! Haven’t been able to find much info about this stuff searching Google.
Great video! Super helpful for someone who is finally branching out to get mods from somewhere other than the steam workshop. The spreadsheet you have online has also been a great help!
Thank you for the kind words and I'm very pleased you found the resources helpful. I am also aiming to get Part 2 back on track soon, several months moving house/city/job meant putting this project on the back burner for a while unfortunately.
Hey ! Nice setup, what app are you using for the dashboard on the tablet ?
Thanks! I'm using SimHub for the dash display - www.simhubdash.com/ . Another option is Sim Dashboard - www.stryder-it.de/simdashboard/index
Thanks!
Super well done, and helpful for new truck sim players like myself. Thank you!
Unfortunately, Parts 2 & 3 have been delayed due to some issues with internet access but they will be up asap!
Thank you very much for the effort!
No part 2?
@@sleepcrafters2926 Unfortunately due to a number of major changes in life circumstances over the last year, I've not yet been able to finish off the follow up videos but I am hoping to get back to it soon.
@@kiwi-sim I would like to know how your life is now? Was the change a traumatic one? I am sorry if it was. Your video was exceptional. Part 2 sir, part 2
@@confuseddad2865 Appreciate your comment, things are all ok now. I am working on re-doing part 2 from scratch as all my original work/scripts etc were lost unfortunately but it hasn't been forgotten!
any issues with these monitors and Gsync? thanks!
Hi there, I have not experienced any issues with G-Sync so far.
I'd play ETS/ATS all day if I had this setup
Ha! If it wasn't for that pesky 'work' thing getting in the way that's exactly what I'd be doing...
Very nice. I’m upgrading from 27’s to 32’s. What mod are you using for the bezel free kit to work with your monitors?
Hi there, no mod is needed for the bezel kit, it's all handled through the multimon_config file. In this video I hadn't yet applied the settings to adjust the image but you can see the results in my other videos. I posted the details of my settings on reddit so feel free to take a look here: www.reddit.com/r/trucksim/comments/q1fa3s/z/hfizeon In terms of physically fitting the kit, I've used double sided tape to hold the bottom of the lenses onto the monitor. The supplied clips hold the top. The lenses are long enough to fit 32" monitors but will need some simple DIY to attach them.
@@kiwi-sim Thank you for the response. I was curious on how to make the bezel free kit fit the 32” monitors so I’ll definitely give this a try
