Aspen 😍 another airport on my bucket list. For sure it's not steep like Aspen 😟 and now there is a RNP guidance on both runways. You fly private? I can't recognize exactly that cockpit! Seems bombardier or similar. Merry christmas man!

Aspen is piece of cake, just program the FMS and let the jet fly the whole thing 🎂 Samedan on the other hand is a VFR strip in a VERY narrow valley.

@xyzaero i wouldn't say piece of cake. The mix of wind change, high altitude, steep approach etc is not very pleasent. Samedan nowadays has also GPS approaches to improve safety and minimums.

@ Of course it is not a piece of cake to fly into Aspen, I was exaggerating and trying to sound cool😇 Flying a transport category jet into any of these mountain runways is challenging and crazy to be honest. I flew to many of these places in Switzerland with the Challenger 605 wich does not like to fly slow 😅.
