I thought stuck lifters was caused by bad oil like taking too long between oil changes? I have a gmc 2007 5.3L and my lifter on cylinder 7 got stuck. I have them all out now and will replace all of them. What do you recommend to make sure my afm lifters dont do this again? Im gonna buy a new updated vlom as well. Thank you.
@@paquesepas6696 I had the AFM disabled so it wouldn’t do it again.
Nice moves on that lifter...
What year of ls?
what oil you using everything looks very clean
What tool did you use?
What is the distance on the fully extended center to center?
How did you know the camshaft wasn't scored? My shade tree mechanic is taking his sweet time on my truck its a #6 misfire. He's had my truck for over a week and wants to look at the camshaft now, after he tried to tell me lifter failure was rare! Ive always had 20-40psi oil pressure. I feel like this guy is going to try to hose me for a camshaft
There are cases that the cam could be damaged. If the lifter has turned its most likely damaged if it’s still running straight then it’s probably just stuck like this one was
@@Strickland80 thank you
AFM can kiss my ass!
What tool is that?
who sells the kit?
I’m not sure but I saw a guy here on TH-cam that has it. I made mine
What load cell and display panel did you use
Brother you just saved me alot of money. I had some jackass mechanic tell me I gotta have the whole engine rebuilt. I knew he was full of shit. I had the exact same problem in my truck I done everything you did with the lifter and put it all back together and truck runs fine again but I did replace the bad lifter
Man that’s awesome!
Hi, I too am new to excavators and am looking at the Sany SY35U as a purchase. It seems you're starting to get the hang of things and yes it is a learning curve that's for sure. Good Job! I've been watching all types of videos myself on operations and how to do things as far as different digging styles, dealing with hills, grading etc... really has helped me. Lots of good information out there. Anyway, keep it up, hope you much success with your company.
What does your tool like like for loosening the lifter sir
How long did it take to remove the intake? How easy was it to remove all the parts?
It only took a few minutes and it’s all pretty easy but I have mechanical experience with vehicles.
I'm sure you know by now, using the blade as stabilizer by having it in the down position...... stops most of the rocking and jerking. Looked like you were riding a bull. 👍 Curious what you paid for the Sany out the door? You like it?
Oh yeah I’ve learned a lot since then and I love the machine. It was right at 50.
Still have it? Any issues yet?
DoD lifters..... The ticking time bomb!
I love racing!
some vids i see them doin the stick. tho noone replaces the bearings for it... just dont get that.
I have the same issue. #6 is tapping away. There's a tool crazed performance sells to tap the lifter. Is removing the rocker and tapping the rod on top of the lifter essentially achieving the same thing?
I made that tool by finding a rod that fits down the oil hole then I ground it at an angle then a slight concave on it. You’ll feel it seat in place as you spin it. The plunger in the lifter will pop out too far so just use the push rod to re-seat it
The rod you made… how thick is it? Looks about 1/4”-5/16”. I need to make one.
just delete the dod
After you do this you have to
Still need to get the lifter to release first and if you start it up before you delete the AFMwill the lifter go right back to being stuck?
What's dod ?

My truck don't have AFM it's a 08 GMC 2500 6.0 liter ly6
Where did you get the load cell setup from
I got it off Amazon
Please subscribe help us get to 1000. Thank you!
people should stop buying the trucks period! then gm will get the message!

Idk about y'all. But only vehicle besides Toyota that runs over 300k is Chevy. And we don't claim anything newer than 2007 😂
I've released a few with a #2 screw driver, seems to work the same way lol
So what was the purpose of removing all those parts on that valley pan 🤔? Looked like keep oil to concentrate more on your lifters.. or?
That’s the solenoids that provide oil for the AFM. You don’t need them if you disable the AFM
What's AFM
@@MoDave82 active fuel management
How do you disable afm and do you keep running collapsible lifters and cam ??
If you disable the afm do you still have to mod the valley plate ?
hell yeah
