Hi Thinking about booking a cruise on Queen Victoria and we have been offered 6002. I am in a chair too and the width of the bathroom door has been mentioned. I can see you got in OK in your chair so I was wondering if you could let us know the width of your chair. Great video thx.

Many thanks for posting this. I had booked it and am now I. The process or changing rooms as this is totally unacceptable. I have have some mobility but m wobbly on my feet at times. The pull man is an absolute health hazard to me I can’t think who thought it was a good idea to put it there I’ve previously sailed with MSC I. An inside cabin which was much better. I had a lot of room to turn the mobility scooter around, and although it wasn’t large did have a wide turning circle. I’m going to have an able bodied cabin which isn’t to bad as my scooter folds down to the size of a small suitcase so can be folded. Again thanks for posting this

I have to add that they have made the wet room inaccessible now please look at website before booking as not wheelchair accessible anymore. The lake side lodge also is not wheelchair accessible if you are a full time user. I will be deleting this vlog after Leeds Castle have had a chance to see where they have failed as I can only promote and review on places that are 100% wheelchair accessible. This is really sad that they are going backwards - update February 2024.

This is identical to the Majestic Princess accessible club suite if you ever need info for that ship. We just returned from a 5 week trip from Sydney to Vancouver via new Zealand, Tahiti, Hawaii and the US on Majestic. Really good cabin. We could only wish they’re all this good. My only complaint with princess is that although the doors are controlled by the medallion, they’re not automatic and you still need a second person to open the door for you. You’d think with the medallion advancements that they’d have done this. Also, none of the accessible public bathrooms throughout the ship have automatic doors so we surprised a few ladies when hubby had to accompany me down the corridor to the female bathrooms. lol. An easy fix so hopefully Princess takes our feedback on board.

Thank you very much for posting this video. We absolutely have just dodged a bullet. Our travel agent had booked us into this cabin for a 23 night cruise. I saw this video and called them immediately. We have now been moved into the cabin 9113 which on the deck plan appears to be bigger. I have contacted MSC and have asked for them to send photographs of the actual room and also dimensions of the height of the bed and the distance between the side of the bed and the wall. We are travelling from Australia to Dubai to take this cruise and if I had been put in this cabin you have shown, we would have had to disembark as I am confined to a wheelchair full-time and require a hoist. There is absolutely no way a hoist would fit down either side of that bed. I’m not looking forward to that tiny seat in the shower. I think that will be a real struggle to transfer from the wheelchair to slide across onto such a tiny surface But we will have to see how it goes. MSC should be ashamed to sell this to people with disabilities. Thank you again for this video. I will take video of the 9113 cabin and tag you in it just for your reference. That room is shit, I am glad I have seen your review because we will not be doing the Dubai 17 day in this closet of a room, can you imagine where our 17-day worth of luggage would go and the ridiculous hazard this third fold-down bed would create. It would be a super duper crowded space with 3 people, their luggage and a wheelchair. THIS IS A JOKE!

Shame no sockets near the bed for CPAP users have to use an extension lead across the room they need to add sockets need the bed in all cabins not just the accessible better balcony than brittania i could not get out all the way in my chair

And actually, as we are watching your videos it has to be said that of course you're rightly focussing on wheelchair accessibility, BUT your videos feature images and observations that are of interest to any and all cruisers looking to discover what's on a ship.

We found your vlog on this cabin absolutely fascinating. Although we don't ourselves have mobility issues, your work on this channel has introduced us to areas of cruising and cruise ships that we wouldn't normally have an insight to.

Hi Zoe, I don't suppose there's any chance you measured the distance between the door and wardrobe. It's good the door unusually opens out but sadly the space is not in line so a bit of 'winkling' would be necessary. My larger scooter is not so easy to manoeuvre as I can't lift the back end.The scooter is 1320mm long but would need a bit more than that to park. I've asked MSC to confirm it will easily fit in the cabin supplying all dimensions but not expecting a definitive answer.

Just found your video Zoe. Thankyou. Rather too late though as we've just booked, last week in the only unsold such cabin, a 21 day cruise in January 23 for the same layout cabin 14045. The deck plans are very misleading as they indicate the cabin is larger than the other standard deluxe along that corridor. No-one at MSC had a clue as to what we'll find suggesting we'll have lots of room. Fortunately I am able to walk short distances but need a scooter for anything longer. There's no way my larger scooter would fit this cabin and it'll be a challenge to fit the smaller one and be able to store luggage. The ramps will have to removed. There is no seating and the bed is next to the window and would prevent seated views anyway. It's actually a disgrace that MSC can call this a deluxe balcony cabin never mind accessible. Why have they provided a wall bed in a cabin of this size I'll never understand. Where would additional luggage be put for any additional passengers. Ludicrous. Access to under the bed storage would also be nigh impossible with the ramp there. My larger scooter wouldn't get past the bed or even park inside the door! We've been so happy with Princess (150+) nights and their mini-suites but they don't sail until April. We don't visit bars and only leave the cabin for meals, the theatre and going ashore so we're in for a pretty grim 'holiday' We've been happy on our many previous MSC cruises when I was completely mobile but this new huge ship is just a money making exercise. Pay for movies, cinema, theatre, no shuttles, no inclusive room meals - apart from continental breakfast. Your video has given us a pre-cruise look and it won't come as such a shock. We'll cope and we've used to slumming it in the past but asking immobile passengers to use this cabin is unforgiveable. We won't travel with them again!

Do you know if the bed in this room has clearance, space so a hoist can go underneath the bed? Thanks!

Christ what a nightmare of a cabin Zoë! I’m the same as you, I can only transfer from one side of the bed, I mean you shouldn’t have to but if you ever encountered this again instead of doing a nightmare shuffle all the way across the bed put the cushions at the bottom and feet at the top, I mean it’s not ideal, but saves you hurting yourself…. Thanks for mentioning that there’s no pull down bar in the bathroom, if it’s made more of a point perhaps more cruise ships would fit them as standard 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’ve seen nothing but bad things about MSC, I’d never risk cruising with them x
