A worlds 1st, Lambretta left foot gear change using rods through the frame, please read more...
Check out this awesome video showcasing a super rare prototype! I believe it's the only one known to exist (at least for now!) with a homemade left foot gear change. Instead of the usual left hand gear, i crafted a cool setup using rearsets through the chassis tube and out the other side to another rod to shift gears up and down. This kind of mod has been tried before in scooter racing, mainly using cables, but never really took off. Fast forward five years after this video, and guess what? The custom cutdown scooter was transformed into a Lambretta cutdown, affectionately known in the UK as Kelloggs frosites. And get this - it's hit the road for over 500 miles without a hitch! and won several unexpected trophies and awards. As far as we know, it's the only one in the world cruising around successfully with this type of gear change method. How cool is that?! 🛵💨
Imagine this: with just basic tools you'd find in any garage and a mini lathe, something amazing was crafted. Picture someone tinkering away in their cozy garage, maybe with a wrench in hand and some metal bits lying around. no fancy equipment or a big budget. Nope, just my trusty mini lathe and some creativity. Piece by piece, i shaped and moulded the parts as needed, turning ordinary materials into something extraordinary. It's like turning a lump of clay into a work of art, but with metal and tools instead! And voila, before you know it, i had a homemade left foot gear change setup ready to go. All done right at home, with love, sweat, and maybe a few beers along the way. Please see my other videos of the parts being created into the final version of Kelloggs Frosties Lambrerra cutdown. #lambrettacutdown #bespokegearchange #worldsfirst #lambrettascooter #lambretta

Very Rare Vespa Piaggio 125cc Spanish 1969 Full Restoration
มุมมอง 146ปีที่แล้ว
The research I did contacting lots of scooter shops in the UK and Spain and the Vespa Forums is that there was a shortage of supply of Vespa in the late 60’s so only 4 of these Vespa's were sent across to the UK. They came without the rear spare wheel carrier and toolbox. This is what made them unique. There are several libraries of Vespa Models but this one is not on any of them making more in...

The exhaust is from a 2 stoke IAME kart, which i am going to see how it runs but first i have adapted, chopped and changed all the supporting brackets to suit, just need to finish with this Nylon spacer. Hope you like to clip.

Great work, can't wait to see it completed

Can you post a video showing how the rods are routed and connected
I have just stripped the scoot down for a repaint but I am recording all the upgrades as I go so I will definitely record the rod system.
Rear sets have been used before on lambrettas especialy in the 1980s
Yes your right but they all used cables!
I love it! I wish I knew how to... Do things. This is rad. Good job!
The finished scoot is on my TH-cam profile page. It took 5 years to complete.
😃
Love the video, thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it😊
