Before the internet I learned this in low neck position using as many open sting notes as possible, harder to play bit adds a deep rumble with bridge pickup, played it in many bands back in the day, kids in the Midwest loved it in the 80s, an essential bass tune

I'm being dumb, I just be. Why is my bass tuned differently? I'm a semitone out and yet I've double checked my tunings.

Nice tutorial. I think the part just before 4:41 is incorrect. The bass and guitar play different notes here. On the first beat, it's a D-E-G (which you have right), but then the bass plays E-F#-A (Not D-E-A). The guitar plays D-E-A, but the bass part is a bit different. I also think that the very last note in the line is an A, not an E, but I am not positive because it's almost a ghost note a lot of the times. If you listen to the isolated bass, you'll hear what I mean about the first part.

Joe- Thank you for the video! Love how your bass sounds! I'm confused as to if there's a hammer-on pull-off, or just a pull-off when you get to verse one? Not that I can get the rhythm either way. Been trying to figure this out, off and on for a year. Been listening to it since forever, but can't get my hands to do it because I'm not sure what to do. Also, what do you mean about "it has a bit of that pickup on there" at 5:56 ? Are you talking about the timing is quicker? Sorry for being such a noob, lol. Anyways, your video is better than most others I've seen though. You have a good demeanor for a teacher.

Really liked these videos and am already able to get about up to tempo with the intro. I do have one question or comment, why don't you use an amp? Probably wouldn't be a problem if I wasn't using my monitor speakers, but it can be hard to hear - and if there's a slight delay with the sound and your movements, I have to rewind a bit. Anyways, hope that's helpful feedback if anything

Verse is not correct. Guitar and bass do not play same notes. Also...it's so long, nobody can follow this video, as you take to long and don't stay focused.
