I don't remember the particulars of the live version of this song I had the privilege of hearing in 2022. I know that I will always treasure it. This version and every one I have seen on TH-cam is blow-me-away great. Wonderful band, my favorite of all time.

There is something about this song that grabs me every time I hear it. The band is so very tight. I really enjoy her voice, too.

The horn just took this song to another place, nice place. Never get tired of hearing this. It's that E chord and the various alleys and ways it goes down, then the majors creep in. There's gotta be somekind of recognition in the deep part of our brain that resonates with this sound.

Susan's vocal on this version of the, "Midnight in Harlem," is my favorite of all time. She tells the story with so much feeling, authority and warmth applied perfectly. Love this band.
