Those are all good points. Elves take care of a bunch of those things on their own tho and having a commander that instantly doubles mana and pumps the team in 1 color is very very appealing for consistency.

TBH mulling over which elf commander is best is like arguing over which Sliver commander is the best. Regardless of who's in front of it, it's elves.

@@kirkd07 yea, but consistency is so cool and important. A mono green elf deck starts elf ballin at turn 1 and keeps going.

Totally agree. 3 mana, take your creature is really powerful if you don’t have to give the creature back.

It is the better deck if you’re wanting to play cEDH, but if you’re wanting to play a lands and reanimator deck, this is the way to go.

@@rudyh721 agreed. Protection may be a bit of an issue, but just playing an artifact draws you a card so the damage is the cherry on top imo.

@crackerjack_games yes brewmaster was good for tnt but I believe it's deeper than that. The consistency in ramp after the bans is what is making it better in the meta as it is right now. We can day all decks got hurt from the bans but tnk got hurt real bad losing mana Crypt.

That makes a ton of sense. Scute is amazing. I’m at the point where I do want field of the dead as a win con. I can handle 1 type of token. I may cut avenger tho just to balance the power level.

@ you could just add a boJuka bog instead of copy land and field of the dead is a great land but for the same reason you are most likely not going to see it in your average game it’s expensive but my best blue card is mind break trap with all the free stuff discover and cascade it is extremely good to shut down those decks

Honestly with this many of the creatures you make being 1/1s, I really don't think it matters. With Call they'll only be 2/2s, which still works for Arabella. And if literally one of your creatures ends up at 3 and doesn't count, that's not the end of the world.

I have always found it slow but it definitely makes this go hard and gives you more bang for your buck. 😊

Milling each person for 10-20 cards per rotation of the table is nearing a 5 turn finish. That’s plenty fast enough. Embrace the cringe. 😬

Imagine thinking that milling is a bad thing. Most, if not all decks, run a few ways to interact with the graveyard, therefore them milling you a few cards is actually helping you out. If you don't, your deck is probably poorly designed (or mono red aggro). If you get milled "all of your answers" those cards might as well had been on the bottom of the library for all you know. Then again, if all of your answers got milled after a few swings of mindskinner, your deck probably sucks. For fucks sake people that get annoyed when they get milled a few cards are annoying and stupid.

Imagine being afraid of a 1 toughness creature that literally stops its controller from dealing damage

That’s definitely a cool idea. I’m curious to see how the list plays and if leaning into artifact creature is the most efficient thing to do. Harder to Keep Baba Lysaga going if we really focus on only 2 types, but worth exploring for sure!

@@crackerjack_games maybe you don't specifically need to lean too much in it, you could see that as just a compact and self recurring engine that gives you always something to play. Also what about biotransference? That would help a lot baba i think

@@crackerjack_games right?! With an upkeep trigger of surveil 2, it's so much synergy with the commander. You add* the enchantment Shadow of the Second sun, and cards that allow you to cast spells at instant speed, such as the flip Heliod, the Radiant Dawn, Vedalkan Orrery and Leyline of Anticipation And you get multiple upkeeps, multiple surveils, AND you can cast enchantment spells during your upkeep
