Uk model y - im upgrading my m3p as we speak, this colour is no longer available and unsure what to do colour wise. I like the look of black but obvious issues come with this and apparently it’s not the best. Quicksilver I have not seen in person but I like a darker grey what on earth should I do? Also wanted to move away from the wood dash as I have had this on my model 3 for past 4 years. I need a balanced guy like you to guide me.
why the home charger and not one that has pen protection built in? How much did installation with pen protection cost?
Times have surely changed... a 13 month wait to get a MYP over a year ago, today I can order one on the website and pick it up at the nearby Tesla Store in Okla City next week.

Great video. I don't really understand a screen protector for a screen which can not be dropped. I'd worry more about losing any screen sensitivity.

I used a local electrician. Just told them what I had, and they quoted for it.
Just bought slightly used model Y . I'm 34rs and living in Essex. 8 yrs ncb insurance was 1500... P.s. lovelyvideo, car is a beast. love it
Thank you, that's not a bad price for insurance. This year has seen a huge rise, mine doubled for no reason at all at renewal (now £900).

Why so long between videos? I got my Model Y LR at the same time as you and was looking forward to videos such as this. Seems an age ago!
The reason is my main channel takes so much time, that I underestimated the time I'd need to grow and maintain a second channel. Gutted really as I wanted this one to do just as well.

Insurance has increased a lot this year. My renewal came through at double, and shopping around I can't get it for less than £900 anywhere. Seems the years of cheaper insurance on these have done haha

You are recommending products and in case of the half sticking front logo you say even though it isnt sticking you can fix it later? You paied how much for your car but save money in an all in one product solution?
I paid £66k for it. But the point is I bought the badge from a third party (Tesla don't sell them). The alternative option is to paint the original badge (or wrap/dip it) but chose to go with a replacement.
So in your country the plate brackets are screwed into the car nose? Ouch! In the U.S. the frame is 3M tapped in place on the nose, but not from Tesla, the owner has to install if they want. But the rear does have screw holes, which sucks. Here's a tip, after you floss off the emblems you can use WD40 to remove the rest of the adhesive from the paint. WD40 doesn't harm the paint. How did you line up the black emblems to the correct place on the car? And on the rear above the emblem what is that hole, just below the spoiler. Put door pocket inserts in the front doors but not the rear, because they can be hard to get out in an accident to get access to the emergency latch. Also, if you put 18" wheels on the Performance Model Y, you will get curb rash protection, and protection from pothole damage and more range and probably a quicker car because those 21" UberTurbine wheels are heavy.

Nice video. The only reason stopping me from buying a Tesla is: i don't have home charger and the insurance will go from £1000 on my current car to £2500 for Tesla. Shocking. This is my petrol for the whole year.
I have one they have a horrible design flaw where air gets in the back cabin all u hear is wind on the highway u can't have a quiet drive its horrible
@@pinkleather6725 What year is yours, this was improved some in the 2023 model. The 2024 Highland and Juniper suppose to reduce road/wind noise even further
Check if you can get Tesla insurance. It's way cheaper
Lost so much money buying a Tesla... do not recommend... Car company that can change its price on the fly is not a good thing... also the poor quality of the vehicles and rattle noises... enjoy the videos.. they look cool but do not recommend buying one of these things
How much did you lose? I paid £66k cash through my business, so when you offset it against CT any loses will be absorbed. Looking online mine is worth around £55k today, so around 15% depreciation in a year which is standard. What were you expecting to lose?
70,000 USD in Aug 22, sold for 50k in May 23. With all the production Tesla doesn't have enough demand. In the US Model Y Performance cut prices again to around $53,000 now @@ChargePoiint
My Y is 6 weeks old made in China has zero rattles and the built and fit quality is as good as my Mercedes and wifes Nissa Quashai Techna ( the most expensive one ). I lost 20K on my Mercedes the moment I drove it away from the dealer! Definitely recommended from me, my daughter is ordering one to replace her X5 after driving it, and wife wants to replace her Nissan.
My MY23LR bought through business and saved 10k CT. Zero rattles, amazing car. Everyone who rides in it is very impressed.

Anything you have to do beyong fitting the vinyl plates? For example contact DVLA, your insurer etc?
No these are BSAU approved plates, so no different to putting a standard plastic plate on (the standard ones are metal).
