closing a position is easy. Remove the position and add the cash proceeds to Cash line. Selling part of the position is trickier. I need to calculate what % of position was sold. Subtract the sold stock part from Shares and that % from Cost basis columns. Then add cash proceedings to Cash line. I don't separately track if a trade was gain or loss. But since cash position changes, overall portfolio performance is seen in Portfolio value and Gain/Loss table.
