Awesome Antipode skills
thank you! (I had to look up the word "antipode".) Interesting word origin!
@@Somatic.Unwinding I believe it's French for balance objects on your feet as well as the art of foot juggling
@@Legman-l5e We borrowed the word antipode over 600 years ago. It first appeared in a translation of a Latin text as a word designating "men that have their feet against our feet," that is, inhabitants of the opposite side of the globe. The word, which originated in Greek, combines anti-, meaning "opposite," with the root pod-, meaning "foot." "Antipode" is no longer used in English as a designation for people, but the notion of the other side of the globe lives on in its current geographical sense.

Why balancing Books on Feet...Respect
What a great question Rohan! Oftentimes lessons are done in an unusual relationship to gravity. This is to entice the brain with novel information, and to dismantle the holding patterns that our postural muscles have form being upright in gravity most of our lives. By working out of gravity with the leg, the hip joint receives direct feedback from the head of the femur (thigh bone) as it drops into the hip socket. This reversal of gravity also makes the leg much easier to move. The BOOK forms the constraint that requires us to keep our ankle joint, knee joint and hip joint aligned and synced. This has great learning impact upon how we walk, sit, stand, turn. Hope that answers your question. Let me know!
