You mention the DX being more suited to certain skin and hair types. Would that be something like for coarser hair textures? I found your video super helpful, but still having trouble deciding between the DX and SR. I would be shaving myself and others.
Thanks for the video. Let's start barber school in 2 weeks, in these videos really helped out a lot learning what is some good products. Would the SS be the safer bet for a beginner?
Im glad you mention the sticking from being more polished. I own the DX and the SS. SR looks neat.
Thanks for the feedback!
I have that blade. It's more complicated to what you say! Not for beginners not for lovers of straight razors🙄 Excellent but only in the right hands😂!
Great presentation and very detailed. I have the SS and would like to upgrade to the SR. Not a professional, but do appreciate a close comfortable smooth shave when I can achieve it on my own. Thank you for all the helpful information here. Fantastic presentation sir!
Bellissimo

Great podcast episode! Hassan Demarco X Nuri West 🔥🔥🔥
As a black man I own the Feather SR Kamisori and I love that razor as we as the Razr-Rock Hawk with the A plate that uses the Feather Blades I could not ask for a better combination if I am in a hurry for a shave than I use the Razr-Rock Hawk but if I have a lot of time on my hands I go with the SR Kamisori. Great video presentation. Cheers.
Very informative ✊🏽🫡
I wonder what the differences are between the dx and sr kamisori style
I have the dx . Love it
You are a vibe, sir!!! So dapper!!! Blessings!!!
Excellent video; I have two SS straight handle razors and I love them; will definitely look into purchasing the new SR. Thank you for the review.
Should look up the Tedalus Essence razor.350 bucks for shavette tho
Dats dope!
Had all the Feathers and the SR is the best. Great weight, feel and balance. Gives a straight razor shave.
I would have to agree!
Agreed! Just talking about performance, the sandblasted finish preventing stiction really takes it over the DX for me. The fact that it's less expensive is just the cherry on top. Sure the SR is cast while the DX is machined but it was clearly a very high quality control casting process that feather used for the SR. The DX's looks, fit and finish is a bit better though. If Feather would make a sandblasted finish DX, I'd definitely get that though.
Don’t know whether to buy the SS or DX
Get the DX. It is a better shaver.
Given the significant price difference between the DX and SS, plus differences in blade edge (sharp angled vs 'cushioned') and blade exposure (the DX has 0.2mm more blade exposure with all of the Feather Artist Club blade varieties), perhaps one should base such a decision upon the amount of straight razor experience one has. The SS is the usual, affordable choice for those without straight razor experience before upgrading to the SR, then the DX.
Great video and presentation. I have the Feather SS coming now from Japan. I will definitely purchase the SR at some point.
That’s a good razor. I need to replace my SS soon. Enjoy that!
@@hassan_demarco how is the SS? I’m considering purchasing it…
Clean as usual 🔥🔥🔥
That barber is tight with his technique. Is pay him a visit any day. Well done sir. 👍
Hey
Whats the reason for leaving the dead skin from the edge up? I've never understood this.
That’s chalk outline not dead skin
Was an intern shooting and editing this video?
J Fulkerson I guess you could say that. I directed and edited using iMovie
I work at a salon by myself that’s based in a Retirement community so I have the clientele already waiting. Maybe I can bypass the lowered price period?
Refreshing to see your style of cutting, fading, and not pushing the hairline back. Did you remove the line with those Gold FXs or did you have to get another clipper?
Awesome advice.
I see alot of Philly Barbers use that hot pick ...you from Philly brother? I'm from Camden NJ
Unclenastynuttz 856 yes. I’m from Philly. I got the pick from amazon. It’s called “Hot pick”
@@hassan_demarco Ook good look bro ✂️💈
Nice cut
That is one incredible barber! An artist at work 👌
Where else can you buy them you know of any websites ?
Hey. I’m not sure who’s carrying them. Try Universal Barbers
He fucked up
What kind of razor is that and where can I purchase one? Thanks.
U can push lever down one more notch for zero...just pull it toward the left a little..
Did I just hear, "leeever"????
Any idea of the price point on these? Other than the bling factor, I can't see anything super special about this model but hey @Babyliss we are using these machines to cut hair, not driving them down the road so please put more research and development into the blades. The ceramic blades are so fragile and easily chipped on Volare X2 and they don't even come with a protective blade cover like most Wahl or Andis. Also the customer service department was very vague, intentionally not answering direct questions about the products and policies. Also I have read from other users that you cannot purchase a replacement charger cord for any of the Babyliss barber tools if you lose or misplace yours.
Really nice clipper., great barber 👏💯
🙏🏾 Thank you!
Ok the cuts were nice but how do you like the clippers. I waited for you to finish the cut to tell what you liked about it and why and...........UMMMMMMMM NOTHING....I don't get it
Overall I think they’re a really good clipper. I use them regularly. They have a strong motor. Great weight and balance. I’ve been cutting with them for a month now and I think they’re a must have! Thanks for the feedback
What’s up man! Thanks for the review. I bought the goldfx at the ctbarber expo. My clippers are are really loud with guards and without. Is this something that is normal. Compared to my magic clip the noise is significant.
Hey Bro. I got mine at the same time. Yes they are loud, much louder than the magic clip. I think it’s because of the amount of power the clipper puts out. I’ve gotten use to the noise level. I think the finish product outweighs the noise level. Just my thoughts. Thanks for reaching out!
Hassan DeMarco thank you for your reply🙏🏻
Were did u get them from and how much
can you zero gap them?
Hey. Honestly I haven’t tried to zero gap. I was really happy with the performance out of the box
Not really. There’s a trick you can do with the lever to get that zero gap affect but they don’t go all the way zero gapped. You’ll still need to use a 000 to get the bottom line out. Sucks
Awesome cut but not much of the video actually reviewed the clippers. You mentioned the lever but nothing about battery life, what guards it comes with or that you can use, the weight, the blades, and how well they cut, or even if you liked em! Lol. They do look the shizz though 🔥 🔥 🔥
Thanks. This is my second review video so I’m trying to work out the bugs. I appreciate the feedback. The battery life could be better. I can get thru 2 - 3 full cuts but then they need to be charged. You can charge the clippers while cutting so that’s a bonus. They come with Wahl style guards, very similar to the ones with the metal tab on the back.
Can you hear the hairs being cut with that Clipper like you can hear the hair is being cut with the Masters? Or is it more like the wahls where you can't hear the hair is being cut?
I can’t hear the hair cutting. They are definitely similar to the wahl senior. The weight and balance are a cross between the Andis Supra ZR and Andis Master.
Wow never knew you could use mustache wax like that .
What's up man just discovered you on here. Love your technique. Can't wait to try out that gold fx .
Big Al's Barber Channel thanks for the feedback Big A. We’ve gotta stay connected
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Sick clippers ! Been hearing a lot about those with the 2.5 hour battery life shh.. dam definitely copin them when they come out of get these insted of the seniors which are great too thanks for the preview not too many reviews of these !
MrJGSTA they’re definitely a good buy. I highly recommend them. I haven’t purchased the seniors yet but I’m gonna grab them too
Are these your new go toos? 1-10 rating?
Malik 123 I give the a solid 9. I’m loving them! Thanks for the comment
Salute Cuzo 🤟🏾🤩🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯💯💯✊🏾💈
VANDAGOAT thx Bro 🙏🏾
So a 4.5 out of what? How long did the battery last for you? You mentioned it but did they have a cheap feel to them because of the lightness?
Hassan great video!!! Very instructional and easy to list too. As a barber that has been in the game for over 20 yrs now 😳 I found your review helpful.
Thanks Terrell means a lot coming from someone as experienced as you!
