I know someone who was off their med and did the same thing...stab a guy and then called the police on themself. Got lock up in a psych ward prison but was out in 5 years on parole.
Never understood why Doyle didn't attempt to fight back. Was it bc he was too drunk to really react or he wanted out of this life. Or maybe he didn't take the threat seriously even as Carl stood over him.
I was obsessed with this movie when it came out. I saw it so many times, I love Karl. Ive seen Vic Chestnut obviously before he chose to leave this earth. There was an article in an LA weekly paper about how everyone needs a Karl. Im not a fan of Arkansas but they made it look pretty and added the hateful people
Thornton is a genius! Ritter was so amazing playing a gay character here! My mom was from a small Louisiana town and Karl Ritter and the rest of the cast and characters were meaningful to me. Ritter especially was perfect for a small gay man! Karl the spooky guy the old aunts told rumors about and gossiped over while he mowed their yards! Genius.

It aint got no gas in it
Iconical
is it wrong of me to find the way he handles the whole thing funny
Dwight Yoakam nailed the asshole role 😂.
love me some biscuits with mustard
I reckon Doyle didn't suffer and that sucks that he didn't. I was so sad about that.
Excellent movie with great actors... John Ritter 😢
The last word spoken by each character (including the mother even though it wasn't shown here) was "Karl." I don't know why that stood out to me.
Billy Bob was genius in this movie. He wrote it, directed it, produced it and what a performance. Pure genius.

Brilliant movie, one question, is the young man in this scene the actor from Tokyo Drift Lucas Black?
What did Doyle do to deserve being killed, exactly?
BAD SANTA!!!!🥰
2:20 I just realized the song playing in the background sounds like the Halo theme song 😆
I love this movie
I'd be so pissed getting smacked with a lawnmower blade just after a delicious KFC feast
I hope billy bob finds more worthy roles like this one, one of the great actors of his generation

Doyle got himself sling bladed. Mm-hm.
He's so freaking casual about it lol ! I love it 😂
All Frank's mother fault 🤷🏿♂️ still one of my favorite movies
oh my fucking god, THE KID IS TOKYO DRIFT!!!
Also, NCSI New Orleans.
One of my favorite movies
A good sharp blade will do the trick every time, uhmmm hmmm
Dwight was also in the newton boys. Another good flick. Dwight has been in quite a few movies, but Doyle was the best. Dwight made me hate him!
Can’t buy it ?
One of my top 3 movies of all time. Fantastic movie all around
John Ritters beat performance. Thortons best performance.
Love this movie!
This is my favorite movie
I live in a river town in Iowa, and we have ours. Most have hearts of gold, but some are ornery.
Love how Doyle says "Hurst" instead of "Hearse," lol.
One of the best movies ever.
I have a nephew who can sound just like him we love the movie❤❤❤❤
Much like Martin Sheen in Apocalypse Now. Well done.
Wish i could of
Man it's been a very long time since I've seen this movie
Billy Bob Thornton one of his most starling roles.SlingBlade a classic
Epic !!!!!❤❤❤
The first time I saw this I truly thought BBT was actually “different “ and not just acting
Only thing was....I didn't like seeing Dwight Yoakum as a bad. Guy
ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHOWS
Made me hate Dwight Yoakum ( who I do not hate ) Made me love Billy Bob Thornton ( who I do not love )
It was him being so polite on the phone that got me
"Karl." Famous last words.
“I aim to kill you with it”
Most professional 911 call ever.
I feel like everyone knew what was going to happen to Doyle, nobody cared enough to stop it
