Working in various restaurants for several years, specifically with a flat top grill, I wanted to put together some easy to prepare items for the Blackstone Griddle. Join me on my journey as we prepare casual meals that anyone can do.
Blackstone Griddle Crew Social Summit 2024!
I joined about 20 other Griddle Crew Members for a Social Summit in Logan, Utah, home of Blackstone's Headquarters.
We spent time socializing, griddling in competition, and cooking in two different collaboration sessions.
The Griddle Pros were there to offer advice, tips, and tricks and just generally hanging out. It was a great weekend with my heart filled from being able to meet with so many influential people from Blackstone and the Griddle Crew.

I am truly impressed with the Omnivore Griddle plate from Blackstone! We did several temperature checks, and the Omnivore was better in almost every way. We bought some HUGE Cod filets from Costco and couldn't wait to get them onto the Griddle. Are these for people that need to cook alot of food at once or does food cooked on one of these taste better than a frying pan? Thanks in advance, I'm so confused.
Blackstone has a range of griddle sizes. 17", 22", 28", 36" as well as several variations of models. I personally have a 36 for my family of 5. The easiest way to describe it is that it is essentially a large cast iron frying pan. Slightly different since it is cold rolled steel, but similar. We love it because we can make any meal at any time and the cleanup is so easy. You don't have to spend a ton of time cleaning up the dishes. It can cook individual meals for just me, or I have used it in a setting where I was cooking for a large family event. I can simply turn off burner to make my griddle a little "smaller" so to speak. Great video showing the bottom. Getting this 36" one delivered on Wednesday. Upgrading from my 28" from 2021. Looks like with the wind guard position, the front of griddle is a good spot to keep food warm? My 28" I've been using the right edge side to keep anything warm.

I see a trend. Everyone uses poisonous seed oils on their griddles instead of healthy animal fats. It’s no wonder people are still getting sick tho they are eating more meat.
I was watching another video comparing the regular to the omni and they said that because the omni is lighter it would be more likely to warp on high heat? Thoughts on that??
They've done extensive testing on this new griddle surface, even by throwing shaved ice across the hot surface. It's much LESS likely with the new bracing.

I use a basic canola or vegetable oil. Sometimes, I switch to olive oil for fish.

Bah! We seasoned ours with tallow. New Blackstone and food is sticking to it. How can we correct this?
It's not ruined. Get it high heat, add some water and boil off as much as you can. Then scrape away any debris. Keep it on high heat and start to add a few layers of oil. The surface will get more and more slick over time.

How about already husky has been removed
It is definitely possible, but just turn often as to not burn. I'd also keep it oiled. Having it inside of the husk protects it from burning, but also retains the moisture from the butter to help steam the corn.
When I buy pre-husked corn, I boil it for 12-15 mins and then take it to blackstone. Put some butter on the griddle and some on corn…turn every couple of mins for about 10 mins
@ChrisAdesso-pq4bq Sounds great. Do you use garlic salt, or any other flavoring? I found that Blackstone's SPG is the perfect combination. I liked the Hatch Green Chilis and Parmesan Ranch are good options too.
