I want to see ALL your gear packed up and it weighed? My experience is that saddles are no lighter than stands. Just more to buy, and more crap to fiddle with in the tree. The difference is, you cannot sit down for 13 hours on an all day sit. I have the full tethered setup other than XOP clibming sticks, all good gear. I run 3 sticks with 18 inch aider on the bottom two. Headed to the tree, 30# pack with cloths. Add wadders and a bow. Crossing a marsh/swamp with an extra 50# is an issue. I spent $1000 to find out you don't save any weight. But hey, now I can deal with a tree in my way!😮

Tethered knee pads are working well for me.

Also, if anybody is hanging a stand or stands alone. TELL PEOPLE WHERE YOU ARE GOING AND WHEN THEY WILL HEAR FROM YOU NEXT! Playing the "hey, did dingleberry go clearing trails today? Has anybody heard from.... ok you check that one ill check his other honey hole" Just let people know where you're going incase you drop your phone. Also old timer told me to keep a few screw in steps on my person so incase of fall you can atleast stand on something while you make a plan.

One thing for sure a shoot like this will show if you know anything about how to shoot. Especially, those crazy 70,80,90+ yard ones. I’m pretty much ok,lol to 70 yards for 3-d targets but after that “ I suck”. Form, shot timing, and the same execution you use at 30 yards is imperative. No halfass just slinging arrows. Got to stay in the shot till that arrow hits foam. Every shot needs to be studied before you even draw back. Just like the Samurai- prepare your mind before!
